Maddox's POV
I place both my hands on the wall and take deep breaths. I didn't know the wolfsbane bullet had this effect on me. I see they probably did not dilute the concentrate. They used the wolfsbane as it is. Judging by the after effects, it must be the yellow wolfsbane. The deadliest of all kinds of wolfsbane.
And like Kris said, the wolfsbane spread faster through my veins and very close to my heart. Any minute late and I could have lost my life too. It is a miracle that I survived.
I slowly turn around and try walking without the help of the wall. I have been on the bed for an entire day now. As much as I want to take a break, this s**t is killing me. I am so used to doing everything on my own that I cannot just sit and do nothing.
