Chapter 7 Brian woke at 4:30 Monday morning and switched off the alarm. They still slept in the basement, crowded in the twin bed. He gripped his morning wood and drifted to sleep again when Jim punched his arm. “Get up. You have to be on time for your first day of work. Get up, get up, get up.” Jim hovered over him on all fours. “Go away!” Jim gave a playful scowl. “Come on, Mr. Lazy Bones. You accepted the job and must therefore show up on time. Not to mention, I promised your dad to keep you out of trouble, and besides, you love to cook, and this is a tremendous opportunity.
