“Who is that mommy ?” Lucas asks as Oakley carries him to the stool at the table . “A friend .” Oakley says , her heart hammering against her chest as panic over took her . There was a soft knock on the door , she cautiously walked to the door , “Can we talk ?” Nate asks as he stood baffled on the other side of the closed door , “No . Just go home .” Oakley mutters , rolling her eyes in annoyance . Nate took ahold of the doorknob , trying to open the door , making it rattle . “You can’t come in , I did not invite you here . Go away or I will call the police .” Oakley said , her heart aching as she said those words , she did not want him to go , but she needed him to leave , for Lucas’s sake . “Just open the door .” Nate tried to plead , his one hand on the door as if trying to go through
