Chapter 7: Kennedy woke surrounded in absolute darkness. She was no longer on the dry earth of the path. There was no warm sun waiting for her overhead. However, her body did lie on slick soft satin pillows and sheets. Someone took care of her body. Hands rested on her chest. She stifled a groan when she first moved her arms, and she discovered she wasn’t in a bed, rather she lay in a tight container. The sides were covered in satin folds and padding.
