Elizabeth POV “Okay, just look over the gun and fire at the bottle,” Johnny said, voice calm and supportive. Elizabeth squinted down the barrel, her hands feeling awkward on the cold metal. She squeezed the trigger, but the bullet missed its mark, flying wide. “It’s not working. Am I doing it wrong?” Elizabeth huffed, turning toward them—gun still in hand. Both men immediately ducked to the ground. “Elizabeth! Never point a loaded gun at someone unless you intend to use it,” Matteo scolded, his eyes wide as he got up, dusting himself off. “Oh, right.
