[Atticus' POV] I sit silently in the passenger seat of Tabitha’s car while she drives us to the location of the most recent murder. Where she punched me hurts something fierce, but I can’t help but smile. “How long are you going to give me the cold shoulder?” I ask, taking in her coiled demeanor.
