Samantha's POV The next morning, I woke up feeling like my entire body had been drained of energy. Every muscle ached in a way that was strangely satisfying, a reminder of last night. I rolled over, stretching beneath the soft duvet, only to feel the empty space beside me. Jack wasn’t there. A sudden wave of weakness hit me when I tried to get on my feet.
