"What's up, baby?" "Thomas asks smiling at Parisa
"What are you doing here?" Parisa asks with a frown on her face.
"I think our time out is over. "Thomas said smiling at her.
"We didn't have a time out. I broke up with you. " Parisa said looking at him.
"Right, now it's time to get back together," Thomas said smiling.
"No, Thomas, it's not. I'm seeing someone else." Parisa said
"Yeah right, who would want you? Your fat, you're ugly." Thomas was saying before he was cut off
"I want her," Liam said looking at Parisa smiling.
"What? " Thomas said turning around to see who said that.
He never in a million years expected to see his boss, standing there.
"She's not fat or ugly. If she was fat and ugly. I would still want her." Liam said holding out his arms for Parisa to come to him.
She walks into his arms, he wraps his arms around her.
Genesis walks off the elevator, she heard her friend crying. "What's going on? ' Genesis asks staring at Thomas.
Thomas was just leaving." Liam said looking at Thomas'
"I hope for good, I never did like you," Genesis said still looking at Thomas
"It is for good," Parisa said looking at Thomas
"Do I need to call security to escort you out? Your moving too slow." Genesis said still staring at him.
Thomas speeds up getting on the elevator. He knew she would have him thrown out in a heartbeat.
"Liam, I didn't know you were here. I didn't bring you a cappuccino." Genesis handing Parisa her cup. "You sure your okay kiddo? " Genesis said looking at Parsia
"I'm good. I was worried about you. Your late and didn't call." Parisa said looking at her. As she wipes the tears off his cheek.
Genesis walks into her office, Liam, and Parisa following her. "I'm sorry. I had a late-night, didn't get any sleep until around two." Genesis said.
Parisa and Liam looking at each other
"Why didn't you call me? " Parisa asks
"I wasn't going to disturb you two," Genesis said
"What were you doing?" Parisa ask. "I am scared of what the answer might be. "I hope she didn't get married and didn't tell me. " She is thinking.
"I had to make a decision about something by eight tonight. So I visit my parents at the mausoleum." She said looking at Parisa.
"Oh okay." Liam and Parisa said in unison smiling.
Genesis looks at them confused. She wondering "why are they smiling about me visiting my dead parents."
"Have you decided what you're going to do? "Parisa ask
"I need my schedule cleared off for the next couple of weeks. I'm going away. Your welcome to come also. I didn't know if you wanted to. Since your with Liam now." Genesis said
Genesis cell rings.
"Phone Conversation"
Genesis: Hi Tyler, how are you?
Tyler: Hi I'm good I meant to tell you. I have a mistress that I would like to keep
Genesis: That's not going to work for me.
Tyler: You sure, we would make a beautiful baby
Genesis: Yes we would. But I'm sure
"End of call"
"Thank God. Now I don't have to tell him no" Genesis is thinking and smiling
"You were saying something about clearing your schedule for the next couple of weeks," Parisa said
"Yes, and this Friday afternoon also," Genesis said As she sits down in her chair behind her desk.
"You didn't say if you decided," Parisa ask
"No, I'm not doing it." She said shaking her head without looking up.
Liam is pointing at his watch.
"Genesis I need to talk to you," Parisa said
She looks away from her laptop giving Parisa full attention.
"But not here. Let's grab a bite to eat." Parisa said
"Okay, Liam are you joining up? " Genesis asks picking her purse back up.
"No, I just drop by on my way to court," Liam said
Oh okay. "She said walking to the elevator."
"Amil "
"What the hell are you two doing here?" Amil asks looking up at his mother and Leona
"You are taking us to lunch." His mother said smiling at him
"No, I'm not. I'm leaving now for an important meeting." He said getting up from his desk.
"Your marrying Leona, the wedding is in two weeks. The announcement will be in the paper Thursday." His mother said
"I'm not marrying her. I will not marry someone I don't love." Amil said walking out of his office
Leona and his mother are walking behind him.
"Why would you want to marry me? I don't have any feelings for you." He said looking at Leona
"You will learn to love me," Leona said smiling
"Not me and not in this lifetime," Amil said as the elevator doors are closing. His phone rings time the door closes. He looks at the caller is. He sees that it's Liam. "Damn Genesis probably wouldn't go," He said out loud to himself.
"Phone Conversation"
Amil: Hello
Liam: She's on the way
Amil: Wish me luck
Liam: You're going to need it
“End of call"
"What's going on? " Genesis asks after the waiter has taken their order.
"I like Liam. What if he turns out to be like Thomas? " Parisa asks. She's thinking of things to say until Amil gets there.
"I don't believe that would happen. He likes you a lot. Besides nothing is guaranteed If you like him, take a chance." Genesis said looking at her
Amil walks in. Parisa smiles at him.
"So you're saying if I like him. I should give us a chance to see where it goes? " Parisa said looking at Amil as he standing behind Genesis.
"Exactly," Genesis said nodding her head
"Then why don't you give Amil a chance?" Parisa asks looking at her
"It's different." She said looking out the window
"How?" Parisa asks
"He doesn't want me. He's out with different women every night. He didn't call me for two freaking months." Genesis said
"Trust me, Genesis, he does like you. I know you like him." Parisa said looking at her.
"I do like him. But._" Genesis said. She stops talking, she still doesn't know he is standing behind her
"But what?" Parisa ask
"One woman is not enough for him. I will not share." Genesis said shaking her head.
"Let your wall down, at least talk to him," Parisa said
"Your right, I should hear him out. I'll call him tomorrow or in the next couple of days." She said
"No, you will talk to him right now." She gets up with her food in her hands. "I'll be sitting over there." Parisa said walking away from the table."
Genesis is looking at her confused. "What is this girl doing?" She is thinking still looking at her.
Amil walks around the table. "Hi Genesis," Amil said looking at her.
"Hi," she said looking at him "I am going to kill Parisa." She is thinking looking at Parisa sitting down with Liam
"We need to talk." He said
"I'm listening." She said
"I was wrong for not calling you. I wanted to, I should have." Amil said looking at her
"Yes, you should have," Genesis said looking at him
"Let me explain Leona to you," Amil said
"Who?" She asks looking at him confused
"The redhead," Amil said
"Oh, that's her name," Genesis said nodding her head
"I stopped by my parent's house before going to the restaurant. She's my mother's best friend's daughter. My mother pushed her off on me. She wasn't my date." He said shaking his head
"She thought she was," Genesis said
"That's another problem I have. I do like you. I want a chance to get to know you." Amil said
"I don't have time for your playboy games," Genesis said sipping on her soda
"I'm done with that life," Amil said looking at her.
"Are you sure?" She said looking at him.
"Yes, I'm sure. I realized it at the restaurant, then at the club. I didn't like you dancing with those guys. I started to go out there to get you. Parisa and Liam stop me." Amil said shaking his head.
"So what are you saying?" Genesis ask him
"I want to be in your life. I have a proposition for you." Amil said
She looks at him with her eyes narrowed. "Go on, I'm listening." She said looking at him.
"I want us to get to know each other. What better way is there than for us to be in the same house." Amil said
"I'm not living with you," Genesis whispers yells, looking at him shaking her head
"Let me finish. I'm not talking about living together. I'm talking about marriage." Amil said
"You, want to marry me? Why? The truth. I'm a lawyer I know when someone is lying." She said looking at him
"You're all I think about. I want to spend more time with you. I don't want you with anyone else." He said looking at her
"There's more to it," Genesis said
"Yes. When I was on my way here. My mother informed me she's arranging a marriage between me and the redhead. I have never been with her or have any feelings for her." Amil said
"Basically, you want to marry me so you don't have to marry the redhead?" Genesis asks looking at him
"No, and yes. I already wanted to marry you. I didn't know anything about my mother's plan until I was leaving to come here." He said
She's looking at him. Wondering if he's telling the truth.
"If you don't believe me look at this, look." He sits a ring box on the table
She looks at the box but doesn't open it. "I have some terms if I agree with this." She said still looking at the ring box.
"I'm listening." He said looking at her given her his full attention
"No outside relationships. I will not accept any girlfriends or mistresses." She said looking at him
"Deal. I expect the same from you, no boyfriends " Amil said shaking his head fast and looking at her.
Genesis looks at him funny. "What do I get out of this?"
"What do you want?" He asks already knowing she wants a baby"
"A baby," Genesis said
"How many?" Amil asks
"One will do for now. Maybe another later." She said looking at him
" Okay," Amil said smiling
"I want a house. Not one of those that your company designed. We both know about mold and drainage problems." She said
They both laughs
"Deal," He said still smiling
"I also want a proper proposal," Genesis said looking at him
"Deal, you got it," Amil said
"How long are you talking about? "She asks
"I was hoping forever. If we want that." He said smiling
"Deal. If it doesn't work out. You come after any of my finances. You will lose, I will take everything you own." She said looking him in his eyes
"Understood. I know you will. We need to get married as soon as possible." Amil said As he hands her his cell to read a text from his mother
"Text"
I bought the ring. You will give it to her tomorrow night.
"End of Text"
"She's in a hurry to get you married off. I'll get Parisa to call a judge to marry us. You just say when." Genesis said sipping on her Coke
"This evening," Amil said
"First, you have to propose to me," Genesis said looking at the ring box that's still on the table
Both are smiling
Amil gets down on one knee "Genesis Westbrook, the first time I saw you walk in the courtroom. I fell for you. I'm going to keep falling for you for the rest of my life. Will you marry me? " Amil said looking up at her.
"Yes," she said smiling as he slides the ring on her finger.
"KISS, KISS, KISS." Everyone in the restaurant was chanting and clapping their hands.
"What do you think? " He asks smiling
"We have to start somewhere." She said laughing
He wraps his arms around her. Placing his lips against her. She slightly opens her mouth. He licks her bottom lip asking for more access, she grants it. He entangled their tongues sucking her on her.
When they released each other lips. They both were panting
"Now that's a kiss!" Liam said smiling clapping his hands.
"Damn, that's a big ass rock," Parisa said holding Genesis hand up looking at it
"When is the wedding?" Liam ask
"Today," Amil said smiling looking at Genesis.
"Damn, that's quick," Liam said looking at Amil. "Why is he in a rush" He is thinking
"Call Charlene to see if she can do it?" Genesis tells Parisa.
"I am on it," Parisa said dialing her phone.
"I need to go shopping for a dress," Genesis said looking at Amil
"She said 6:00," Parisa said hanging the phone up
"You two go get your dresses. I'll go buy our wedding bands. Liam will you be my best man?" Amil said looking at him.
"I better be after what you two put us through," Liam said laughing.
"You know you don't have to ask me," Parisa said smiling at Genesis
"Let's go shopping. Call the office, let them know we won't be back today." Genesis said
"I already did," Parisa said
Amil paid the check. "When you are finished, come to St. Regis," Amil said
"I'll take care of the room," Liam said
