Chapter 11

I looked at my arm she held and nodded. I know what she meant and because of the cold breeze of the evening, instead of teleporting into the hill where we are going, I chose to bring her up into the air. "This is not the first time that I got to see how dark the Holy Land is," I said when we were flying along with the air looking down the Holy Kingdom. "I can see nothing. I can see darkness. We got to read the book of prophecy in the library, however we can't tell that those are true. I mean, every history has a prophecy but we both know that the written prophecy was impossible. Demons had already won, long time ago," she commented. I agree. The book was displayed in the library and we were able to read that together when we thought for the first time that it was the best place to spend the vacant time. Not knowing that, it was the worst place among the places that we can go inside the Holy University's premises. No one can tell that the prophecy was true but since it was called prophecy and the elders are believing it as well as the schools. The King and Queen who believed in that as well, everyone was waiting for the time where that prophecy is going to happen. "We are under the darkness spell, that only means one thing," I said as we reached the hill and landed the spot where we usually stood up. We can hear the sound of the wind, the coldness of the air is getting into my skin. "And that one thing called lost," Gillian added. I sighed to agreement. I have been thinking that for a very long time. After that moment that we got to read the book of prophecy, it has already came into my mind that we got lost. Although, mom never missed to tell me that bad ones would never win against good ones. But I doubt that. I wanted to think that we Holiesters still have a chance to get back our world, our land from this cursed. That we are not really lost because we still have a chance to stay alive and we still have our world with us. That we just need to free ourselves. However, I also don't want to disappoint myself. The King and Queen put a shield in the entire Holy Land so we could have this artificial light of a sun made by their powers. I am afraid that time will come that the Demons are going to heartlessly ruin everything that we are trying to build. "I don't think it has a sense of thinking about that," I suddenly burst out. On the other hand, no one can predict what is going to happen tomorrow. No one can say, who's going to win next time. I stood up and motioned my hand to do the reason why we came here. We always made sure to keep a distance from the houses so they won't notice the lighting of our powers from afar. They would surely go crazy to know what is going on uphill. As I started practicing and Gillian do the same thing. We are both serious on doing each our practice. I saw her ruining the holograms I made with her weapons. I can say that Gillian is getting stronger, she's smart and she knew her capability. She knew how much of a strength she needs to give. I can even say who among the two of us is the strongest. Although, I have several abilities that she don't have she also have the abilities that I don't. And one of her abilities that every Holiester wanted to have is that she can make a clone of herself. A clone that won't separate her own body but still covered her. Thinking about her ability like that bring me back into the scene of her and Lady Penelope. I am still wondering her possible reaction of seeing me and her tomorrow. I don't know if she will get happy or what. I hope she won't take it bad that we escaped without asking permission to her or to anyone that attended us there. In Holiester academic I got the first place but in the strength and battle, I placed third. I am not surprised that they want to have fight with me and Gillian. That hurts their butt. They would never allow lower class than them ranked higher than them. From the previous years that we had witnessed there in Holy University, the only class 2 that ranked 1 and lost all the top 10 royals was kicked out for the mission with privileges. That was how unfair the council is. They always wanted to have the royals stick together when they are in the mission and going somewhere else in Holy Land. A-side from the biggest Holy City here in Holy Kingdom, there are still hundreds of small cities with towns of their own outside of the Holy Kingdom. They are not under the power of the King and Queen for they have their own leader. I don't know if they are doing well but Holy Kingdom is the richest among all the kingdoms and cities of the entire Holy Land. "I think, I am ready for a mission." I heard Gillian said so I looked at her. Gillian sat down in the ground as she put her hand down to take a rest. I smiled as I saw how clean the holograms I made. She made those things vanished like a thin air. She is really good and she is doing things with so much of a determination. She's always doing this because she wants to make grandma proud and to protect grandma. "We will surely be in the mission together. I mean, only the two of us," I answered. She smiled and nodded. "That was I always pray. But sometimes, I also want to be with the royals to see what they have guts," she said and shrugged. "I don't want to get acquaintance with them. Wherever they are, the commotion are there. There's no peace with them, Gillian. Don't ever think of being with them. Their group is not that that we think it is," I seriously said. After the incident happened in the Holy City. After what that Camille did and said, after how Hailey looked at me without saying anything, after how Kean disrespect mom and after how acted like he doesn't care that Stanley is. I know for a fact that with them is not a good thing. "I also don't like them but they were so proud of themselves and that what I want to see. I want to know how strong they are," she added. "I still don't like the idea of joining them in a mission. I would choose to go alone rather that being with the Holiesters who only think of their selves. They only care about their name and they always uses that as their VIP card," I said rolling my eyes. I looked at the mountain and my eyes widened with what I just saw. That was so beautiful! "Holy sh*t! What was that?!" She mumbled. "Ara, your brother, he is different from us. He is a royalty and he has a name to protect. Holiesters knows that I gave birth to him but they would never think that I was his mother. For them, those who have name like him, is his mother, the one that raised him up." How is it so possible to have a pure heart like yours mom? How can you even just accept that? He was your son and your son turned his back on you. You can fool my ears with your words mom, but not my eyes that can see your eyes. Not my heart that can feel your soul. I decided not to ask her anymore and just stood up. "Mom, I'm going to the mountain," I told her. "It's getting dark now, Amara. You can go there in daylight," she said that made me looked outside. That wouldn't be a problem for me. I have a gifted eyes that can see from the darkness. And this wouldn't be the first time that I go up hill at the evening. "Mom, I have class during daylight and besides this hour is the safest mom," I told her. "Are you going there with Gillian?" I almost get into faced palm facing my mother when she asked me that. Why is that elders would asked their child if they were with that certain friend before they give permission? Grandma always asked Gillian if she was with me or I was with her before giving yes to her. And here's my mother doing the same thing. "I will ask, Gillian. We didn't plan of going there but I can ask her if she wants to come," I said and was about to turn my back to go to our bed when she speak again that made me stop. "And if she's not available to come over with you, stay at home." Oh My Goodness! You better available Gillian or else, I will make you available! "Alright, mom. Thank you!" I teleported into the near garden before she can say anything that would make me stop once again. I scannes my eyes in the whole place. The vegetables and the flowers from the other side are getting healthy. Mom really does have the green thumb that the nature wants. I gave water a bit to drench the soil a little. I looked up the sky and see nothing. The book of History and prophecy says that it has stars and moon that shines at night but we're not seeing one. Elders was able to see them in their younger years or when they were kids, until the demon conquered the entire Holy Land and cursed it with the darkness. Now, stars and moon didn't exist, we never had a chance to see them even at once. I wonder how they looked like in real life. They looked pretty in the imagination. They looked pretty everytime grandma tells a story about the stars and the moon. Darkness consumed the entire Holy Land for decades and the King and Queen gave a light during day light. And since their capabilities are limited, they can't give us moon and stars. I sighed and looked down. If the prophecy is real, we will have a chance to witness the sky in natural light. And that, if we will not get killed. Demon's are strong as f*ck! And no one knows when is their promised time to come back. Hopefully, never. "Are you coming with me?" "Oh Lord! Holy mother -- f*ck you, Amara!" I laughed my lungs out when I see how red her face is. I teleported beside her sitting in the 1St step of their 3 stairs up to their room. She was so serious playing sand in her palm when I speak. I was still laughing and she's throwing sands on me. I immediately put a water shield on me before that sand can get into my eyes. "Hey! Stop that! That's a lot, Gillian!" I yelled inside the shield that I made while still laughing. I can't handle it. What am I supposed to when she is looking funny in front of me? "You witch! You could've just knock on the door! I almost died in nervousness!" she yelled back and still throwing her powers on me. "What happened?" We both stopped and bring our powers down when grandma showed up. She was looking the both of me and Gillian. She looked at the floor and we followed her head. My eyes widened when I saw water in there and a scattered sand. "Grandma, we were just — just trying to combine our powers to see what we can do," I speak first. Grandma didn't look so please and her eyes narrowed to both of me and her b*tch of a grandchild. I felt a relief when she smiled and nodded. "That's great! You two should know how strong you both when you are together! Gillian, you should practice more," grandma said before turning her back at us. *What the heck?! I am the one she shared her blood, hey!* Gillian shouted in her mind that I happened to hear. *Mom allowed me to go out when I said yes to her question if you are coming with me,* I told her. She looked at me with confusion. "Coming with you where?" she asked. "The mountain?" I mumbled in question. We always go there to practice ourselves. I don't know how does the other class 2 Holiesters practice theirselves. Or maybe they were just contented with they already know about their abilities. Gillian and I, we are not. We both know that our ability didn't stop in the first thing that we knew what we can do. And we were right, when we got to study in the Holy University and saw how royalties and the class 1 exchange powers. I can see that were controlled and they knew that they were doing. Our powers are something and I want to understand them. They are not just an element or an ability that comes from our body but they talk with our mind and our heart. We can do a lot with our abilities and that's what I want to learn and master. Our mind is the strongest, I want it to work along with my eyes. And that's what I am practicing because I know I can. I know my capability I know what I can do. "I'm ready." I turned to see Gillian when I heard her speak. I didn't even noticed that she was changing her clothes. She was wearing a loose shirts when I came and now she's wearing a fitted crop top that and a jacket on. I nodded and stood up. Gillian went to upstairs to tell grandma that we are leaving. We won't take too long uphill because we still have class tomorrow. I don't know what will be Lady Penelope's expression when she see us tomorrow. I bet she would get just thankful that she didn't kill us. Or even if she did kill me and Gillian. No one would ever know who killed us. She can just ask her men to throw our body somewhere else in the Holy Land. It wouldn't be a problem for her to bring our body out of the university. She can teleport. Sh*t it seems like I am over thinking. She didn't kill me and Gillian, yet I was thinking possible things of what if - what if(s). The heck?! "Aren't you worried?" I asked her. She looked at me narrowing her yes, "worried for what?" "Lady Penelope. She's probably get shock when she see the two of us okay. I am pretty sure she thought she really stabbed you and she I said while watching her locking their door.
