Leo's POV.
"Alpha Leo, Queen Alice would like to have a word with you in private." Her second in command, who I believe is named Waylon, said.
"Of course," I replied with a friendly smile.
Waylon led the way down the hall away from everyone that had just come out of the Council's meeting.
“Josh” I reached out through the mind-link to my best friend, my beta.
“Everything okay, Alpha?” He sounded concerned but he clearly had his emotions in check, unlike me.
“Everything is fine for now. I will be meeting with my gated mate. Hang around, I’m sure her second will inform you about it.” I explained before I cut him off.
I didn’t want to get interrupted while I was with my mate. I followed Waylon to a door that was just one floor up from where we had just had a meeting.
