Alice's POV.
“Alice, it’s almost time to visit the Whitlock coven,” Waylon said as I read through my notes on what I had managed to gather on the mating law.
I sighed with frustration, "I'm coming, you better help me read these laws once we return home.” I said while standing up from the bed.
Waylon chuckled, “he just left and your already mad?” He knew exactly what I was frustrated about. “And of course, I will help you. What are best friends for?” He asked sarcastically.
“Well, technically, you're working, so you are my second hand right now. Not my friend.” I said as a joke.
Waylon, being Waylon, went along with it. “I am deeply wounded”, he gasped with a shocked expression while placing a hand over his heart.
“You are literally unreal,” I shook my head and laughed.
