Gloria said with earnestness. It seemed that she really meant it. Ted made the offer several times but now found that Gloria had her point. So he waived his proposal and nodded. "Well, you may focus on your business for now and I'll keep running the company for you."
Gloria smiled and didn't say anything more, but she appeared to be in complete command of herself. Nydia, sitting aside and staring at the two of them talking the whole time, had a look of incomprehension on her face.
Was she too simple-minded to understand their conversation?
Why could Ted and Gloria be good anticipators while Nydia could only listen to them in silence in confusion?
