Katrina’s POV
Carter gives me a worried glance before his face becomes determined. He closes the gap between us and then he pushes me behind him before getting in a defensive position.
"Katrina! You need to calm down! Now is not the time for you to start panicking! You're stronger than him!" Cathy yells at me. I know that everything that she is saying is true, but I just can't get my body to listen to my mind.
"I'm trying, but I can't breath." I start panting slightly, and Carter takes a step back, which forces me to do the same thing.
"Katrina. Everything will be alright. Take a few deep breaths. You're ok," a soothing voice whispers to me. I can feel my breathing start to slow down and return to normal. I gasp slightly when I realize who said that.
