Katrina's POV
When I woke up today, I didn't see Vernus. I walked around the castle, but I still didn't see him. I was a little bored, so I went to the room where I usually stored jewelry to look at them.
I figured if I needed to go to a party with Vernus sometime, I might need some jewelry.
I picked up a string of deep-sea pearls, which were particularly beautiful. I wanted to try it on, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't just fasten the button at the back.
It was so weird. Why couldn't I fasten it? I tried to turn the button to the front to take a look, when a manservant came in and said to me, "Let me help you, Queen."
I looked back at him. "Why haven't I seen you before? Are you Vernus' manservant?"
