Three months later.
“Hey Sienna, good job with that last sale.” Lucy’s voice brought Sienna back from the thoughts in her mind. Thoughts about Kris were always there, never far from her mind, as she muddled through day-to-day life.
Most people thought her depressed mood was because of her ex-fiancé, but that could not be further from the truth. For three months she had waited to wake up and find the pain of giving up Kris had lessened, but each day, she found it grew in intensity. It felt like part of her soul was missing, that her heart would never function properly again. Her time with him was not a distant memory, it was fresh in her mind, along with all the sadness that accompanied it. Would she change meeting him if she could?
