Sienna stepped off the train, and pulling her coat closer around her body, she hunched her shoulders against the cold, and headed down the streets of Sunderland to the office building.
As she walked, her mind wandered to Kris, and the music post she put on his timeline. There had been no response, and she understood that maybe the hint that she wanted to try with him, was missed in translation, or that he just didn’t view it. Maybe she had misread what he was communicating on the talk shows, and she regretted getting her hopes up that they could in fact build a better way, together, not apart.
Opening the big double doors, the warmth of the office hit her, as she made her way up the square staircase to the top floor, into Maxwell Publishing.
