Chapter Eleven - Nearly. Kris leaned slightly forward, gazing at Sienna’s plump pink, slightly parted lips. Never had he wanted to kiss anyone as much as he did this girl. Sienna's breath hitched as she saw the object of more than a few of her fantasy’s tilt his head towards her. She gulped as she sat, frozen to the spot, waiting with bated breath for his lips to connect with hers. Her body began to hum with excitement, as her heart beat practically out of her chest with anticipation. “Champaign Sir, Madam.” The hostess’s voice broke through the intense moment. “Erm, thank you.” Sienna said, feeling the heat rise up her neck onto her cheeks. “Yes, thank you.” Kris forced a smile, taking his glass from her, too dazed from the almost kiss to refuse the alcohol. “Excuse me, but could I be really cheeky, and ask for an autograph please.” The hostess asked, flashing Kris a smile. “Erm, yeah, sure, do you have a pen and paper?” He patiently and politely asked, even though inside he was cursing the woman for her timing. “Yes, it is for my friend, if you could make it out to Mandi. That is Mandi with an i.” She gushed, handing him a napkin and a sharpie. “Mandi with an i.” Kris said, nodding, then looked at the name tag on her uniform. “Your friend shares your name. It is amazing how many times that happens.” He grinned up at her. Sienna rolled her lips, looking down at her lap, suppressing the giggle that was threatening to break fee. The hostess blushed slightly, then took her autograph and moved on to the next passengers. Kris let out a sigh, then looked at Sienna. She was totally unfazed by the interruption, and, for once, he did not have the stress if the woman he was with was going to kick off at him for smiling at a fan. “Nearly.” He whispered to her, giving her a wink, making Sienna’s blush deepen as she looked away embarrassed. Clearing her throat, wanting to escape the embarrassing situation, she looked at Kris. “Whose question is it now?” she asked. “I believe it is yours.” Kris grinned. Taking a sip of her bubbly that had a raspberry floating in it, to give her time to think of her next question, Sienna scrunched up her nose, shaking her head slightly. Kris loved the simplicity of her. She was uncomplicated, you could see instantly how she was feeling, and it was like a refreshing glass of cold iced tea on a hot summer's day. “You don’t like it.” He nodded at the glass. “Not really. I have never had it before. Although there are ten bottles in my dad’s garden shed right now, that we couldn’t cancel.” Sienna laughed, making a mental note to make sure she gave them away. “It is an acquired taste,” Kris smiled. If he was being true to himself, he much preferred a bottle of beer. “Or just for posh people, and I am just not posh enough.” Sienna laughed. “Hey, don’t put yourself down. You are amazing just as you are.” Kris reprimanded her. “You have known me a sum total of…” She glanced at her watch. “Wow, five hours. That went quickly.” Sienna said, a stab of regret that this time with him was passing too fast. “Five hours, or fifty years, you are still amazing.” Kris told her truthfully. A loud clearing of a throat once again disturbed them. “Sorry to disturb you, but could I possibly have an autograph for my wife please?” A middle-aged businessman asked Kris. “Yes, certainly. What is her name?” Kris smiled, he really did not mind signing autographs or spending time with the fans. After all, if they did not watch his films, he would not be asked to make any more. They kept him in work. “Jane. She loves you. Seriously, you are one of her Ten.” The businessman laughed. “Oh, wow, well not sure what to say to that buddy.” Kris laughed. “Hey, if you can hook me up with Jennifer Aniston, we could double date.” The businessman laughed light-heartedly. "I am not sure Jen would be up for that, sorry." Kris joked back with him. "Hey, a man can dream. But honestly, Jane is obsessed, she is so excited about the new film. When she found out it was about a surfer, she literally drooled for hours about the fact you would have no top on for half the film. She was reading up on it, asking me to take her to Hawaii for the filming. Unfortunately, I had to refuse, given I am in Austin for a week with work, but maybe one day she will meet you.” The businessman chatted on. “Yes, well, I am glad she is looking forward to it. That is where I am heading now, to begin the on-location filming.” Kris smiled at him. Sienna snapped her head around and looked at Kris, with wide eyes. “Well, I will leave you to it. Thanks for this, Kristofer, seriously, I will owe you one, because she is certainly going to reward me for this.” The businessman laughed, then walked back to his seat, with his own napkin for his wife. “You are going to Hawaii?” Sienna muttered, still stunned that they were travelling to the same destination. “Yes, why, where are you going?” Kris asked. “You are not going to believe this, but I am also going to Hawaii,” Sienna said, still in shock. “Wow, so, is your fight the American Airlines one, leaving at 10pm tonight?” Kris asked, keeping his fingers crossed she was on his next flight. “Yes, it is. Wow, what are the odds?” She said in utter shock. “Well, I guess you are stuck with me for even longer.” Kris grinned at her. His stomach was doing a little happy dance. “So why are you travelling to Hawaii?” Kris asked, it was a long way for her to go on her own. “Well, this is my non-honeymoon, honeymoon. I took his name off the tickets and decided to go alone. I wanted to just escape my village, and it had the added benefit of really pissing him off.” Sienna shrugged. Kris nodded his head, a feeling of pride that she was so brave to do this alone washed over him. “So, your breakup was not that long ago?” He asked. “Is that your question?” Sienna giggled. “Yes, but I have to be honest, I have lost count and have no clue who’s turn it is anymore.” Kris chuckled at her. Sienna laughed, taking another sip of her champagne, and shaking her head, scrunching her mouth up. “Nope. I have still not acquired the taste.” She said, placing it on the small table at the side of her seat. “Well, it was nearly seven weeks ago. Which is longer than yours, Kristofer.” Sienna grinned at him. “Kris, call me Kris. Kristofer Gilbert is the actor, and a celebrity, Kris Gilbert is just me.” Kris smiled at her. It was weird, but he was no longer the Hollywood star to her, irrespective of his name. But still she bit down on her bottom lip and, with a shy smile on her face, she nodded her head. “Kris.” She said, liking the fact that he wanted her to know him, for who he was a little more than she should. Kris reached up and pressed the orange button for the hostess, who promptly arrived, obviously waiting for the call. “Hi, sorry, but we really don’t want these drinks. Could you possibly get a….” His voice trailed off, as he looked at Sienna. “Gin with lemonade and a dash of lime cordial if you have it, please.” Sienna smiled up at the woman. “I will have just a diet Pepsi or coke, whatever you have with ice. Thank you so much. ” Kris ordered. “Oh, are you not having a drink?” Sienna asked. “No, to be honest, I have given up drinking for the time being. I am not an alcoholic, but I was getting close to having a problem, so I have made the choice to go t-total for at least a few months.” Kris replied honestly. There was just something about her that made him want her to know everything. “Oh, well, I will just have a lemonade.” Sienna said, feeling guilty that she was going to have a drink when he was trying to give up alcohol. “No, that is fine, don’t worry about me, I want you to enjoy your non-honeymoon.” Kris smiled at her, appreciating the gesture she had made. “Well, the company is infinitely better than it would have been if it was the original honeymoon.” Sienna said, then closed her eyes, once again, her inability to keep her thoughts to herself had reared its ugly head again. “I am very glad to hear that, Sienna, very glad indeed.” The hostess brought the new drinks, taking the champagne away. “Here’s to the best non-honeymoon, ever.” Kris made the toast. “Definitely. Cheers.” Sienna laughed, as they clinked the plastic glasses together. They sat chatting about anything and everything, both of them laughing, and looking like they did not have a care in the world. Sienna began to yawn, placing her hand over her mouth. “Sorry, but it was an early start this morning, and I haven’t slept well for weeks.” She told him. “No worries. Hey, if I press this button here,” Kris said, leaning over and pressing the button on the opposite side of her chair. “You end up with a flat bed. Now, there is a pillow and anything you might need. I will get it for you.” He smiled, as Sienna slowly sunk back until she was lying flat beside him. Kris grabbed the pillows from under the seat. “Lift your head up for me please.” He smiled down at her, loving taking care of her. Sienna lifted her head, as he placed the pillow underneath her, then pulled up the blanket, and tucked her in, before putting his own chair into the bed, and settling himself down. Sienna caught herself drooling as he took his cap off. His normal slicked to the side ‘Officer Abel’ hair, had no product in it, the dark brown longer hair at the top was messy and hanging down. Sienna had never seen anything as sexy. In. Her. Life. “We have just over a couple of hours till landing.” Kris smiled, then reached over, placing a strand of her hair behind her ear. “You are beautiful.” He whispered softly to her. “Thank you, you are not so bad yourself.” “Really?” Kris chuckled, flashing her a half smile and a raise of his left eyebrow. “Yeah, a little above average.” Sienna grinned at him with a twinkle in her eye. “Hum, now, go to sleep, before I do something to shut that smart mouth of yours up.” Kris smirked at her. Sienna gasped slightly, her body instantly going on high alert again. She really wanted to say something sassy to force him to shut her smart mouth up, but her mind drew a blank. She let out a laboured breath, before giving him a soft smile. “Night Night, Kris.” She whispered. “Night Night beautiful.” Kris grinned, then lent over, and placed a soft kiss on her forehead, making Sienna sigh in contented bliss.
