Chapter Nine – Turbulence.
“No, no, no, I must be more drunk than I thought.” Sienna said in disbelief, as she stared at the drop-dead gorgeous Hollywood hunk.
Kris chuckled, settling himself into his seat, before turning towards her.
“Hi, Kristofer Gilbert.” He flashed her his winning smile, that had caused a million panties to melt at one time or another, then stuck his hand out to shake hers.
Sienna just stared, unblinking, then furrowed her brows, and rubbed her eyes in disbelief before fixing her gaze on the outstretched hand.
“s**t, this is real.” She suddenly said, jerking herself upward slightly, before feeling the heat of her embarrassment burning in her cheeks.
Kris chuckled then nodded his head towards his hand, urging her to shake it.
Sienna looked, then reached out, placing her small hand in his large one, a bolt of electricity shot up her arm, through her body and hit her directly in her lady parts, acting like a match, instantly causing them to flame.
“Erm, sorry, Sienna Lloyd” Sienna muttered slightly, still in a state of shock, not only from the presence of her teenage, and older than teenage celebrity crush, but also from the intense reaction that was pulsing through her body like a tidal wave.
Kris felt the sparks rush up his arm, his half chub instantly going to full. He had shaken many hands, had dated many women, but never in his life had he felt this intense feeling with just one single touch. He was almost loathed to let her hand go. Feeling like he was a creep, he released her small delicate, soft hand as she pushed a stray lock of her hair behind her ear, her face pink with embarrassment, as Kris decided he wanted nothing more than to see her face flushed, with her shiny blonde hair sprayed over his pillow.
Sienna shook her head slightly, shaking herself from her daze. Hell, this man was a cheater, no better than her ex, no matter how gorgeous, or the fact she had fancied him for ten years straight, he was an arsehole, and just because he had made her p***y weep with need, she should not give him the time of day.
Turning to face out of the window, as she waited for the plane to fill up, Sienna kept her focus on the small luggage truck filling the plane, trying to see if she could spot her case going on board. The last thing she needed was for her clothes to go missing on this solo honeymoon. Plus, watching out of the window was a much-needed distraction from the man who made appearances in a lot of her teenage dreams, who was sitting next to her, with a heated stare in his eyes, that was making her unsettled, in the most pleasurable of ways.
“Tell me Sienna, what are you looking for out there?” Kris asked, desperate to open the lines of communication with the girl he now knew was called Sienna. He smiled, the name suited her, and it felt good rolling off his tongue.
“My case.” Sienna simply replied, not tearing her gaze from looking outside.
Kris peaked over her shoulder at the luggage cage.
“What does it look like? I will help you find it.” He chuckled slightly.
“Black.” Sienna said, holding her breath from his close proximity, as her body began to explode with goosebumps.
“Well, that narrows it down.” Kris smirked.
“With pink piping,” Sienna added with a sigh, she was slowly losing her mind, desperate to just turn into a groupie, and lay her lips on his.
“Cheater.” She reminded herself aloud, then bit her bottom lip, realising she had once again vocalised her inner monologue.
Kris let out a long breath, something about her thinking that trash talk from Presley was true bothered him. He had no clue why he was so concerned about what a random woman he had just met thought about him, no matter how horny she made him, and it was clear as day, she was going out of her way to try to ignore him. But it did matter, and he needed her to know the truth.
“Like I said, don’t believe everything you read. That s**t is tomorrow’s trash, a headline sensualised to make you buy their paper.”
Kris defended himself before sitting back on his seat, giving Sienna space as he controlled his annoyance. Not at her, but at the trash journos, and Presley, who was doing everything she could to cause him issues.
“Well, this is a free paper, so it is pointless to publish it, in order to make me pay.” Sienna said, finally turning towards him.
“But it is filled with advertising. Therefore, they still get money the more copies that are distributed,” Kris countered.
Sienna supressed a smirk.
“I know how advertising works; it is my job.” She said with a shrug.
“So… if you understand, then why are you quick to believe it?” Kris asked, enjoying this little sparing match they were currently engaging in.
“Because it is a direct quote from your poor girlfriend.” Sienna shrugged, then looked away, her own hurt hitting her like a ton of bricks, and the tears she thought had dried up weeks ago stung her eyes once more.
Kris instantly noticed the sadness in her eyes increased before she turned away again, and he wondered if some i***t had cheated on her. Giving her a moment to compose herself, he thought about his next move. If she had been hurt in this way, then there was not a cat in hell's chance she would believe him, yet for some reason, he had to try.
Softening his voice, he turned his head towards her, as she once more stared out of the window.
“For what it is worth, not that you will believe me. The accusations are false. I have never cheated on anyone, ever.” He whispered to her.
Sienna blinked back her tears, angry with herself for getting emotional again.
“Sorry, it is none of my business.” Sienna relented slightly.
Kris nodded his head, turning his attention to the air steward who was beginning the safety brief. He could not help but notice that Sienna was concentrating hard on every single word of the brief, and her hands began to grip at the arm rests, her knuckles turning white. The urge to reach over and take her hand in his was almost all consuming, but he kept his focus on the briefing, even though he had heard it thousands of times before and could probably recite it word for word.
Finally, the aircraft was being pushed backwards, as they began to taxi towards the runway. As the aircraft engines began to whir out, and the plane hurtled forward, he heard Sienna whispering a string of curses, mixed with prayers for protection, letting out small squeals as they took off, climbing above the cloud cover, in a bid to reach the altitude which they would fly at for the next ten hours.
“So... It is going to be a long flight, and although we can sleep for some of it, might I suggest a game to pass some of the time.” Kris said, thinking that he needed to take her mind off her perceived impending doom and focus her thoughts on something other than the fact she was flying.
Sienna closed her eyes tightly, as she attempted to calm herself down, a distraction would be good, and even if he was a cheating bastard, she would never get this opportunity to find out more about the man behind Officer Abel, than she would right now.
“Okay.” She whispered.
“Good, let's play twenty questions. We can ask twenty questions and we have to answer honestly. You can only pass on three of those questions. Deal?” Kris smirked at her, determined to find out what the sadness in her eyes was by the end of the game.
“Okay.” Sienna said, her body still tight as she continued to grip the armrests for dear life.
“So… I will go first.” Kris smirked.
Sienna simply nodded, still tense from fear.
“Have you ever met any other person who was in your ‘wank bank’ or just me?” Kris chuckled.
Sienna flipped her head round her mouth open wide, as she glared at him, her cheeks heating.
“You heard that!” she said, wanting the chair she was in to catapult into the sky and parachute her out of this embarrassing situation.
“Yep.” Kris grinned, popping the ‘P’
“Oh shit.” Sienna whispered, finally letting go of the arm rests, and placing her hands over her face.
“Well, have you?” Kris chuckled into her ear, enjoying her mortification more than he should.
“No.” Sienna squeaked, shaking her head, in dismay.
“Why would you ask me that?” She whispered.
“Is that one of your twenty questions?” Kris asked.
“Nope.” Sienna said, finally removing her hands from her face and glaring at him.
“Okay, well, I was curious, but also, more than that, I wanted to stop you thinking about the fact we are flying. It worked, so I say job well done.” Kris grinned at her.
“I will let you have that one for free, so now, the first of your twenty questions.” He continued.
Sienna let out a breath, she could not think of anything to ask, although she had a lot of things she wanted to know. With a smile forming on her face, she grinned at him. Revenge was a dish she liked to serve. If he wanted to ask embarrassing questions, then two could play that game.
“Are the reports true that you had a p***s extension added for your love scene in Crazy Cops?” She asked with a smug grin on her face. After all, she had watched that scene over and over, and if it wasn’t an extension, he could have made a killing as a p**n star.
Kris chuckled, then shook his head.
“No extension, that was all me.” He chuckled, not at all phased by her question.
Sienna gulped slightly, finding herself blushing. Rather than embarrass this man before her, she had embarrassed herself.
“My turn… what is your favourite colour?” Kris asked, desperate to know more about her, even the little things.
“It was a dusky pink, but recently changed to electric blue.” Sienna told him with a sad smile.
“Why the change?” Kris asked, noting the sadness swirling around her eyes once more.
“Erm, my question.” Sienna dodged his question.
“Out of all the places in the world you have visited, where is your favourite?” Sienna asked a safer question.
“That one is easy, home, in Virginia, where I can be myself. Although I found a close second this week, a glamping site in the Montseny forest just outside of Barcelona, it was beautiful and peaceful.” Kris smiled at her.
Sienna nodded her head. She had seen pictures of his Virginia home in one of the glossy magazines and she could understand his love for the place, it was out of this world.
“So my turn again? Why the change of favourite colour?” He asked.
Sienna closed her eyes, taking a breath, this was something she really did not want to get into.
“Pass.” She said, using one of her three pass questions.
Kris nodded, just as the plane began to bounce in the sky as the seatbelt light switched back on, and the captain announced some heavy turbulence ahead.
Sienna felt the hot tears washing down her face unchecked.
Kris looked at her, she was clearly scared out of her wits. Unable to stop himself, he reached over, and took hold of her hand, squeezing it slightly, as Sienna gripped his hand in hers, not sure why this famous man, who was reportedly a cheater and room trasher, was suddenly the person who was making her feel safe, on this god-forsaken flight.
