Chapter 6: Hooking Up
Abraham jumped into her arms as soon as Lily unlocked the door. The cat yowled in her face and pawed at the remnants of Trent's goatee. "I know," she murmured to him. "I'm working on it." The cat mewled again and rubbed his furry face into her cheek.
"Wow, I've never seen him do that before," Lily said. "He loves you!"
"Nothing funny," Sasha replied with a smile. "We're just good friends." The cat danced around her slacks as she refilled his water dish and grabbed his food from the cupboard.
Lily hopped up on the counter and crossed her smooth legs. She watched Sasha feed the cat with far more interest than it merited. "I don't think I've ever seen you around before," she said.
