Blinking rapidly to be sure my eyes aren’t deceiving me, but unfortunately, they weren’t. Jayden who looks shocked to see me standing there tried to mask it with a nervous laughter. “Josie… I didn’t know you were coming over.”
I eyed the blonde. “Obviously.” She smiled widely at me. “I remember telling you yesterday that I may come over this morning and you were generous enough to tell me where to pick up the keys.”
He walked over and gave me a hug that I didn’t bother reciprocating. “I thought that was your own way of dismissing me.” He gestured towards the open door. “Why are you standing outside?”
“Waiting for an explanation.” I cut my sharp angry glare to her. “I need to know why you’re smiling with this bitch.” The venom in my voice made her smile disappear.
