Chapter 4

*Hades*

The time is almost right. All the years that have passed over that she has lived through the pain, now i watch to make sure she does not suffer. The last few months I have watched her myself. And I know now that she does suffer. She chooses to lock herself away from everyone around her; her smiles seem to be nothing more but I'm mask that she's learned to wear all too well. She felt my presence and she saw the mass of Darkness I used to shroud myself. That lets me know that soon enough she will see me through the shroud. She will soon join me as Queen of the underworld. I must begin preparations. I want everything to be perfect when my queen is finally home. Annabelle will just have to get over herself. She was never my queen and I thought I made that perfectly clear to her but in the recent days it has become obvious but she doesn't know her place. This is unacceptable in my book. I left Ember with a simple statement that I am sure that she heard because the look on her face was one of shock and surprise. I know she may fear me at first many do but she will come to love me once she knows me. I meant every word that I said. I will soon come for her and no one will stop me. Not even herself, what she doesn't know is her fire will not harm me. It can't matter how strong it is. I am stronger.

Years ago the fates told me of a woman who would be born made for me. So I waited a very long time until I set my plan in motion. I made a deal with a normal werewolf promising him power and transforming him into a hellhound, I've been sent him into the world to find a Fae not just any feh but one of great power. I made it so they would fall in love with the goddess Aphrodite. And to them was born my precious Queen Ember. He may have given me the slip and hit her from me for many years. He may have thought he could keep her for himself. But in the end I feel as though he got his Just Desserts though I would love nothing more than to punish him myself I will have to deal with the punishment that my queen gave him. Oh how strong she was, how powerful, the faith did not lie when they said that she would be my equal match. However they did leave the part out that she wouldn't fact have a werewolf mate. That she would find him prior to me having what was mine.

Now I am forced to watch her bear another man's child as she gives him love and gives him love. The anger I feel does not go unnoticed and the underworld and everyone who serves me . But The distance she is choosing to put between the two of them tells me only one thing that she knows she does not belong to him,and that little fact makes my heart swell. I know I cannot be misreading what is going on. I am Hades after all. And the gods are never wrong. After taking one more look back at my beloved I see she has left the window I turn and return to my own kingdom. The first thing I must do is deal with Annabelle.

I just hope dealing with her will be as easy as bringing my queen home. After all she's no lady she's nothing more than a consort one to have passed the time over the years that I have waited. Her time in my court is now done. She will be leaving shortly if not by choice, then by force.

They say speak of the devil and he will appear, as if my thoughts have called out to her Annabelle is waiting for me upon my arrival and the underworld. She stands just behind Severus the guard dog at the entrance. Wearing nothing more then a sheer black robe. I know she is trying to entice yourself into my bed but ever since seeing my queen I have no desire for her.

"Where have you been. Ive been waiting for you." She say with a pouty lip as she pulls the tie around her waist. I can't help but visibly scoff at the site this woman that I want spam beautiful I no longer to stand to look at.

" Annabelle you have no right to question me. Now stop and f*****g cover yourself back up. go back to your room and while you're there start packing you have 48 hours to get be out of here." With the final words I leave her there gawking.
