Leslie saw his cold eyes. She felt painful like her heart was tore by someone.
She didn't know where she got the courage. She tilted her head to see the man and said resolutely, "How can I be no better than her? She has already gone."
She was not a sycophant. But her thoughts in her mind are always out of her control.
Christopher smiled without any emotion and his deep eyes coalesced with chilling fear.
She had no time to react. Leslie's head was fiercely pressed against the ground by him, without giving her chances to response.
Her head hit the floor in a mess.
"Take a look at your face!" He stood there and looked down at her. "Leslie, who do you think you are? Your ugly face makes me feel disgusting!"
Leslie cannot feel the pain. She smiled, "Whatever I do is wrong. She is always better than me."
The anger in his mind grew even more when Christopher saw the smile on her face.
This woman was a murderer. Why she still lived a good life, while his lover had to lie in the dark and cold graveyard?
Christopher pressed her head harder until Leslie couldn't struggle. He said "Don't mention Evelyn again! You don't deserve to be compared with her. If Evelyn hadn't saved you before she died, you have no chance to be my wife."
The more Christopher said, the more angrily he became. And the force from his hands got harder and harder.
Leslie's head got hurt under Christopher's brutality. At the same time, her stomach was churned ragingly.
She wanted to scream that it was not true. Her throat was burning. All the sounds were stuck in her throat.
It seemed that her body didn't belong to her. Then finally, she felt like throwing up.
The vomit stained Christopher's feet. Christopher's eyes flashed with obvious disgust. He said in a cold voice, "What a disgusting woman!"
Although he said like that, the pressure from his hands released unconsciously.
He got up and looked at Leslie in a condescending way without any pity.
However, Leslie was still lying on the floor. Her face was facing right in front of her vomit. Yet she was lying there motionlessly like a broken puppet doll.
Christopher felt more disgusted when he saw her half-dead look. "Leslie, please put away your disgusting hypocrisy look. Only the kind-hearted Evelyn would believe you. Please go a little farther away if you want to die."
Leslie was not pretending. Her limbs cannot be controlled by herself. That feeling just like they were not her limbs. Even she herself could not move them at all.
She was lying on the ground and said weakly "I'm not lying to you."
Christopher was still watching her who was lying on the ground, struggling, "You have been lying to me for many times in the past three years. Do you think I will still believe you, a woman full of lies?"
Finally, Leslie climbed to the front of the shelf. She opened her bag. A test report just flied towards his face.
Christopher's eagle-like eyes saw the words written on it for a second.
'Five weeks pregnant'
He lifted Leslie up with his strong hand. And he strangled her neck tightly.
Leslie was too weak to struggle. She was like a dying woman.
Christopher roared in anger, "Leslie, how many times have I said. Don't play this little trick to fool me again! Have you not got enough lessons? "
"You are a woman who was left out of the picture by me. You have no qualification to provide me such a false certificate by a major hospital."
Christopher gritted his teeth angrily and said, "As long as you have money, you could buy anything! A single certificate like this is a small case."
He wanted to slam this woman to the ground hardly so that she would become the most humble mole. But another voice in his heart told him to let this woman go.
Leslie coughed a few times. She had trouble breathing. "If you still don't believe me, please take me to the hospital. Who dares to deceive you all over City A?"
Christopher threw Leslie on the bed, then quickly dressed and dragged Leslie to the hospital.
For the first time, his heart got panicked.
The doctor gave the results to Christopher as fast as he could.
"Congratulations, Mr. Loomis. Your wife's blood and urine have been checked. She is pregnant for about five weeks."
The doctor originally meant to congratulate him. But Christopher did feel good. Instead, his face became more and more gloomy.
The doctor had to say with trepidation, "Your wife is pregnant, but she is not well. She has suffered a serious impact. She must nurture the baby properly. Or I am afraid that this child will be in danger."
