Chapter 5
In the sanctuary of his office, Cinder watched the flakes as they continued their lazy journey to earth where they joined their brothers and sisters, covering the world in white. With the strands of lights painstakingly put into place by Io, he found himself mesmerized, enchanted by the beauty of the winter scene. It definitely helped put him in the right frame of mind, and just like that he wound up thinking about the picture secreted away by Daisy until the big day. Part of him wanted to give in, indulge in the good cheer all around and spoil the hell out of Io, much the way he had last night. At the same time, however, he wanted things to stay simple.
Of course, he sort of blew that right out the window when he paid a visit to the Guardians at the behest of the ever faithful
