Chapter 21
They stayed close to the camp entrance, so the guards could see them as they collected what they needed. The coconuts and tree oil were easy to find. The mushroom, on the other hand, was difficult. They primarily grew on the other side of the river to the east of her, but without a car trip and a boat it wasn’t easily accessible.
“Savannah, I don’t think we’re going to find it here,” Fiona said eyeing the camp. She didn’t like being out in the forest without any protection. Her brother and the team had already left to do who knew what and wouldn’t be back until close to nightfall, as was their routine.
“You can head back if you want. I want to keep looking for a few more minutes.” Several lives were depending on her finding that mushroom.
