Chapter Ten

1516 Words
Ryan's POV: "Nathan." The name is known to me or should I say well known to me? "Isn't he your neighbor?" I asked though I know who he is. "Yeah." She replied in a small voice. "You are still having a relation with him?" I asked angrily. "What? Still? When did I had a relation with him? I just had a crush on him." She said, acting confused. I must say she is a great actress. But I had seen better. "You don't have to lie." I said, trying to not show my irritation. "Why will I lie?" She is holding a more confused look with a little bit anger. "Cause I know you had a relation with Dr. Nathan and may be you still have." I let out an angry laughter. "Ryan, what are you saying? Just stop." She snapped. "Oh so you are playing the innocent card? So tell me, is he the one who kissed you just before our marriage or is there anyone else also?" I asked her, it's becoming really hard to control the anger I am feeling. "How did-" she started but didn't got the chance to complete as I cut her off. "Save it. I don't need an explanation. I know what a w***e you are and don't dare to raise your hand again. This time I won't tolerate it. Pack your things and follow me this instant." I ordered her. "I'm not a w***e and I won't listen to you." She said, crossing her arms over her chest. I looked at her for a moment. She really doesn't know what I'm capable of, does she? I went near the table where her phone and the keys of her car was kept and grabbed them. I took her backpack and she ran to me to stop me. "What are you doing? Put my things where these were." She tried to order. I didn't replied her and slide the bag on my shoulder and grasped her with my free hand and started to pull her with me. "Where do you think you are taking me? I will start to scream for help and this time I will seriously tell them to call the police." She said trying to free her hand from my clasp. "I know you are not so stupid to create a scene here. So be a good girl and come with me." I said with a firm tone. "Oh a good girl? OK as you say my dear hubby." She agreed and offered me a sicking sweet smile. How did she agreed suddenly? And what is with this change of behavior? What is she planning this time? But I will think about that later. I have to take her home before her running away becomes the headline tomorrow. "Yes, my lovely bride." I returned the smile with mine. She frowned and I smirked. Equal equal. Heh. *** "I have a car and I can drive skillfully." Pearl said as I pulled her with me towards my car. "So?" I asked nonchalantly. "So I'm going to drive my own car and not going with you." She said with arrogance. "Listen here, you're the last person I would like to believe now. You can runaway again and I'm not a fool to give you that chance. I will give the key to Gavin and he will bring your car." I informed as I tossed the key to my driver, Gavin. "Why will I listen to you?" She c****d her brows. "Cause you're stupid to do anything appropriately on your own." I said as I opened the passenger door for her. "I'm not stupid." She said, sitting down. "Sure." I replied. "Why do you think I'm stupid?" She asked as I started my car. "Who takes her own car when she is trying to hide?" I asked and she smiled like she just got an Oscar. "Oh so you think I'm really that stupid? It didn't came to your mind even for once that may be I took it so that you can find me?" She asked coyly. "You didn't!" I looked at her disbelievingly. "May be I did. Now look ahead. Don't wanna die in a car accident, do we?" She asked batting her long eyelashes. I felt like to break my own head. She made a fool out of me and there I was thinking she was stupid. God, I'm the big fool here. "Now now don't burden yourself." She cooed. "Ugh. Shut up." Real mature comeback. She smirked and didn't said anything else. The rest of the car ride was silent as the memories of today went through my mind. I was slapped by a girl for the first time and she happened to my wife. If I wasn't hellbent to take her home with me I would've reacted more to the slap and left that place after teaching her a proper lesson. But I couldn't do that because at this moment I need her, could I? Pearl's POV: Reaching the penthouse, I dashed to the kitchen as I was seriously hungry. I saw Martha, Ryan's cook was bringing something out of the oven. "Hey." I greeted her. "Hi, Mrs. Anderson." She gave me a polite nod. "Please Martha, its not like you don't know me properly. You know me since I was a kid. So why are you calling me that?" I pouted childishly. "Ah Pearl, I thought you'll like it if I call you Mrs. Anderson." She said in a motherly tone. "No, I'll be always Pearl to you." I hugged her from behind. "What did you make for me?" "Blueberry muffin. You love those, right?" She asked me with a knowing smile. "This is the reason I love you so much." I gave her a peck on her cheek and went to grab a muffin. "It is still hot. Let it cool down. So where is Ryan? And where were you from the morning?" She asked me. "He is may be in the bedroom. And I went explore. Oh, I'm hungry." I informed her taking a sit on a tool near the kitchen island. "Explore? I really don't know what goes on that head of your. What do you wanna eat?" She asked ruffling my hair. "I am feeling like to have lasagna but I can't wait that long. Make me something easy and quick." "Just wait ten minutes and there is fruit salad in the fridge I made a few minutes back. You can have that till I'm done." She gestured to the fridge. "You are one of the reason why I agreed to marry that fool." I said her as I opened the fridge. "Oh really?" She smiled while cutting cheese. "Yeah, so that I can always have the food you make." I said before sitting down on my previous place. "OK, now your wish is fulfilled. You can always have my handmade food." "May be, may be not." I looked down as I remembered what Ryan said on our first night. "What do you mean?" Her brows furrowed. "Nothing. Just making you worried." I smiled at her playfully. "Always the same." She shook her head. "Martha, who is always the same?" Ryan asked as he walked in the kitchen. "Our Pearl." She replied affectionately looking at me. "I see. What did she do?" "She and her playfulness. Will you like to have something also, Ryan?" Martha asked. "Yeah, I'm starving. Make me something easy and quick, please." He said her as he seated beside me. "That is what she said also. You two are so much alike." She said continuing what she was doing. "I'm not like him." "I'm not like her." We said at the same time. Way to make Martha's statement more right. She smiled at us. "Here, have your food." She gave us two plate filled with Mac n cheese. "Thanks, Martha." "Thanks, Martha." Not again. "Why are you saying what I'm saying?" I snapped at him. "I can say the same." He replied taking a spoonful food. "No, you can't. What do you think you are?" I glared at him. "The most eligible bachelor and a really handsome billionaire." He said cockily. "You were bachelor but not any more." I retorted. "That is not the point." "That is the point." "Where are you taking this?" "Nowhere. Shut that trap of yours." "You started this." "I-" "Stop you both. You are bickering like when you were both teenager." Martha said in order to make us stop. "Tell her that." He pointed at me. "She doesn't have to. It's your fault that you didn't grow up and bickering with me, not mine." I said back and put my plate on the counter as I have finished eating my food. "I can't deal with you both. Go to your room." She ordered us and we stood up reluctantly. "Idiotic Ryan Anderson." I muttered under breathe. "I can hear that Ms. Porcelain doll." He said me. "And I can hear you both, now go to your room." Martha yelled from behind.
