LUCA POV
It's been a week since I last visited the diner. I decided to make my surprise visit today. My PA Trish and my best friend/business partner Alfonso are with me again. As we walk in, we notice a big difference from our last visit. The statue was removed, the basket case seems to have taken a huge chill pill. The idiot.... still looks like an i***t, but he hasn't pissed me off yet, so it is a vast improvement. Give him time. Cindy, who seated us in a booth by the window, informed us that our server would be with us shortly, greets us.
“Our server must be the new hire.” Alfonso guessed. “Great, we get to be Guinea pigs.” Trish sneered.
If you haven’t guessed, Trish is snobbish, which I think is hilarious considering her background. Coming from a middle-class home, probably not much better than anyone working here. She was very fortunate that I gave her a chance straight out of college as my PA. No experience and little to no business etiquette. Most people have to start as a secretary or worse off in the mailroom. She has come a long way in the past two years, and I'm proud of her for it. Now if she would only come back to earth. Her attitude has become increasingly inappropriate for her position.
“Trish... give the server a chance, will you?” Alfonso was already annoyed with her.
They are like cats and dogs, always bickering. Sometimes I think they messed around, and things didn't work out. Too much tension for nothing to have happened. I warned both of them to never mix business with pleasure. I make it perfectly clear to any woman that works for me and tries to cross that line that I don’t dip my pen in the company ink. Too much drama! But that's their problem. I stay out of it.
“I'm not going to give them special treatment because they’re new.” Trish responds with a scowl. “Your right Trish. Luca shouldn't have treated you with kid gloves when he hired you. Actually, he shouldn't have hired you at all since...” Alfonso was cut off by me.
“Enough you two! You’re giving me a headache.” I gritted out annoyed.
I started to wonder where our server was. I look up to search for them and my eyes land on a curvy brunette that is swaying over to our table. I doubt she can avoid swaying those hips because she is so thick. They must have a mind of their own. She reaches our table and smiles widely at us. She looks familiar. I wonder where I've seen her before.
“Hi, my name is Catalina, and I will be your server today. Can I get you something to drink?” She smiled nervously and looked around the table. “It's about time. We've been waiting here far too long.” Trish snaps at her.
Catalina’s eyes widen a little and her smile falls. Alfonso and I look at Trish and she simply shrugs at us, looking at the menu. Catalina composes herself and smiles once more.
“I'm sorry you had to wait so long. I will try my best to make the rest of your experience here pleasurable.” Catalina smiled nervously. “I would hope so.” Trish responded, not looking up from her menu. “That's enough Trish.” Alfonso snaps. “Three waters for now. We should be ready to order when you return.” I quickly replied to her. She smiles sadly at me and turns around to fetch our water. I couldn't help but watch her walk away. She has the most voluptuous ass I've ever seen. I shook my head and looked away, not wanting to be caught gawking.
Too late!
“It’s quite a sight.” Alfonso chuckles while also staring at her backside. “She's fat.” Trish says bluntly. "All the fat I see is in all the right places.” Alfonso responds, smirking. “That it is.” I whispered.
Catalina brings our drinks, and we order. But not without Trish quizzing her about four different dishes. From how they are prepared to what ingredients are in them. Mind you, this is a diner, not a bistro. Catalina answers all her questions and does her best not to let Trish's attitude get to her. When she brings out our orders and puts our plates down, I couldn't help but stare at her perky, round breast. She must be cold.
“Sir?” Catalina is looking at me with furrowed eyebrows and a slight blush. Damn it, she caught me. I couldn't help it, she has a body that screams "look at me". I'm almost certain this place is overly cold on purpose. That damn manager, David, must enjoy the view as much as I am. "We have everything we need, you’re excused.” I replied dismissively.
I was a bit rude, but I didn't want to further point out how I didn't hear one word she said. She already looked upset after catching me eating her with my eyes.
“Enjoy your meal.” She huffed and walked away. “You OK Luca?” Alfonso chuckled out. “I've never seen you stare at a woman that intently.” He added. “I feel like I've seen her before.” I said with a bored tone.
Trying to play off how much I want to bend Catalina over our table and enjoy the view while I pound into her. Where did that come from? I'm not celibate by any means, but it's been a very long time since I've lusted after a woman so badly. Usually, I just meet up with one of my regulars, scratch the proverbial itch, and move on.
“You did. She was the girl outside the last time we came. You know the one that looked like she was homeless.” Trish laughed.
The statue?
CATALINA POV
My probationary first week is almost over! I've done pretty well if I do say so myself. David has been acting a bit strangely though, I keep catching him staring at me. I feel like he is watching to see if I make any little mistake so he can fire me. He hardly speaks to me, but he's always watching. Kind of creepy. He also likes to have this place a bit cold for my liking. Even some of the patrons have complained about how cold it is here.
David decided to test me by having me serve some "special patrons". I was warned that I needed to impress them and keep them happy. I almost lost it when that rude woman seemed to be evaluating me. Being extra for no reason at all. She’s tall and thin but the lord gave me everything that she needed on top and bottom. I’m not a fan of bleached blonde hair but, to each his own. I know it’s petty of me to criticize her looks just because her personality sucks, I just can’t help it. I recognized them after I brought them their drinks. Well, I recognized him, he was VERY good looking with dark thick hair and hazel eyes. However, I can tell that he’s probably worse than David. The way he looked at me that day when I was zoned out, as if I was a nuisance. The other guy is attractive too and seems nicer. His looks fit his personality, light brown hair, soft brown eyes.
They don’t look like they would normally eat at a simple diner like Claire's. I did my best, put up with the woman’s BS, and even endured blatant ogling from the man himself. Then he proceeded to brush me off as if I was trash, probably embarrassed I caught him. Maybe I should ask David for a looser fitting shirt. Should I have to alter my appearance to avoid men staring at my chest as if they are hungry newborn babies?
DAVID POV
I've been watching Catalina all week. She has vastly improved in how she presents herself. Her hair is always styled properly and make up done. I only see her in her uniform, so I'm not sure if she's still wearing the rags she came in before. There is only one way to find out. I wonder if it’s too soon to ask her out?
I sent Catalina the serve Mr. Bianchi and his party. I noticed he couldn’t keep his eyes off her. After Claire informed me who he was, I almost s**t my pants. I'm glad I didn't completely f**k that up or I would have been fired. After Catalina served them their meals, she walked away looking upset. I hope she didn't do anything to mess this up. I told her they were very important customers and that she needed to impress them. I walked up to her where she stood by the salad bar.
“What happened?” I gritted out. “Huh?... Um nothing. Nothing happened.” She was nervous not meeting my eyes. “Are you sure?” I asked once more. “Yeah, nothing happened.” She assured me while walking away. I decided to go over to the table and make sure everything was OK. I walked up to the table and they all turned to me. “Hello everyone, how was everything?” I asked, looking at Mr. Bianchi. “Everything was fine.” Mr. Bianchi replied drily. “The service was excellent.” The other gentleman added with a small smile. “It was OK.” The woman added in a bored tone. “Well, if there is anything else I can do for you, please don't hesitate.” I nervously responded and walked away.
That did not comfort me one bit.
CATALINA POV
My "special patrons" finally left, and my last table was cashed out. I'm about to go meet the love of my life, my bed. After David grilled me earlier, he decided to check in on my table. He didn't look so happy then. He immediately came up to me and requested I meet him in his office after work. I hope I'm not being fired. I picked up my purse and headed to his office, which was open. I knocked on the open door, and he raised his head to acknowledge me.
“Come in, Catalina, close the door.” He smiled at me. After closing the door, I walked further into the office and stood next to the chair in front of his desk. He motioned for me to sit with his hand. “You wanted to speak with me?” I took a seat feeling nervous.
“Yes, I did.... I wanted to let you know that you've been doing a great job.” He smiled at me again. “I also wanted to see if you wanted to have lunch with me tomorrow. I know it's your day off and I happen to be off as well.” The smile he was giving me now was his attempt at being seductive, I’m guessing. “David, I-I'm not sure that's appropriate... since you’re my boss.” I felt very awkward now. “There are no rules against inter office dating, I checked.” He replied in a serious tone. “Well... David, I don't think I would be comfortable going out with my boss.” I clarified further.
He looked at me for a moment, as if assessing his next move. His eyebrows furrowed and his lips had a bit of a scowl on them.
“I understand you can go now.” He snaps at me and goes back to his paperwork.
I awkwardly stood up and left his office. Not bothering to say goodbye or say anything else. I'm not sure what just happened. I don't understand why he would ask me out. He is my boss! On top of that, he has already expressed how he thinks I'm fat. Is he out of his mind? I hope this doesn’t affect how he treats me as his employee. Men are so complicated.
