Chapter Forty-Nine
The lunches and breakfast were good and no one usually bothered me. That was a plus in my book. This side of town didn’t have a lot of shifters and the humans seemed to sense that I was a dragon and they avoided me. It was like on some primal level they knew what I was even if they didn’t register it at first.
Andreena sat down in the booth facing the door. The black leather of the seat creaked beneath her bottom. She sat at the edge of the seat and I let go of her hand, motioning for her to scoot over. She did and I moved beside her.
