I bared my teeth, snarling at him with enough force to make him flinch back in terror. "She is mine. I can do whatever I damn well please with her."

I whirled around to face him, my eyes blazing with furious anger. The veins in my neck bulged from the sheer rage coursing through me. "Are you testing me, Jeremy? Do you have a death wish or something? Don't tell me you are sweet on my mate because if you are, there will be dire consequences."
