Sophia’s POV
I hear some sounds in the background like rollers moving around, a beeping sound and then some people’s voices. One of the voices sounded familiar but it seems the people discussing were far away from me and so I opened my eyes slowly.
“Where am I?”
Everywhere looked white and clean and then I perceive that pungent hospital smell I hated so much to the extent that I wanted to puke ever since being pregnant.
At the mention of the word “pregnant”, all the memories from last time that had happened started coming back to me.
“My baby..” I shrieked immediately as I grasp my tummy trying to feel if my bundle of joy was still in there.
I was happy that I still felt the little bump at least, but I needed confirmation.
“Is anyone there?” I say out loud.
