Jake’s POV
It’s morning. I check my phone and see that I had a few notifications on my phone as always.
So, I scroll through them and I see that one of them was a reminder for the wedding that Amelia had invited me to.
“Wow.. thank God I immediately saved the date after the call”
Honestly, I could actually have forgotten if I hadn’t saved it.
I get up from the bed to go into the bathroom to freshen up and I call my secretary while at it to make sure that I had my scheduled cleared for today. I didn’t want any distraction today.
I just wanted to fulfill my promise of attending the party and being with Amelia today. I had missed seeing her too.
I had actually kept in touch with her every morning though. It’s was either I was calling or she was the one calling to say, “Good morning”.
