"Alpha." Derek's voice called him from a distance, he was coming his way. Alpha Aetius distanced himself from his current spot so as to not make it obvious that he was eavesdropping into their conversation.

"Alpha, it's time. Teagan is ready."
'Don't do it! I'll hate you forever for this!' Blaze yelled in his head in a warning to back out while he had time. But the wolf didn't understand, time was not an issue. It was him, he needed this. His pack needed this.
'Don't make me shut you down again Blaze. It's difficult for me as it is.' Aetius replied strongly back to his wolf, who grudgingly sat back in a corner of his mind. He knew that his wolf wanted better for him, but being an Alpha came with it's drawbacks. Pack comes first.
