A thousand stars lit the sky above her as Ellie sat on the back porch, looking up at the night sky and reflecting on the day. She'd wanted to share her thoughts with her father, but Michael had been so busy after the race, taking information from onlookers to make sure that no one cheated and preparing for the final contest, which would take place the day after next, she hadn't really gotten a chance to talk to him.
