Both Resa and Nicole were in their own rooms preparing similar bags, and Penny’s heart thundered as she thought of the danger she was leading them into. “Do you think I should have told them to stay?” she asked the alien sitting on her bed. Letting him roam around the house was out of the question. She couldn’t guarantee his safety if one of her father’s men decided to take a peek through one of the windows. He watched her move, those demon’s eyes of his trailing after her. She should have been unnerved, her stomach twisting under the constant scrutiny. She wasn’t. Her stomac
