I was secretly carried out of the palace by the two disguised guards. There was no other guards when we left the gates and since it was night, all of the citizen in the capital are nowhere to be found.
Before long we arrived at a faraway forest.
"I think here should be fine." One of the guards suddenly spoke, they were both disguised in a black cloak.
"Yea, it's best not to go too deep, we should leave as quick as possible, this place is full of beasts!"
Hey wait! What the hell are you doing, leaving a defenceless baby out in the open!
No matter how hard I tried to shout, the back of the two guards soon disappeared into the distance.
The forest was quiet, all I could hear is the constant sound of me breathing. I'm not worried about beasts, since all of them would try to stay away from me upon detecting my powerful aura.
Uhhhh…! Thinking back about what just happened today just makes me angry. Me trash? More like that whatever treasure is trash!
It is true that I couldn't cast magic since I don't know how to cast it in my human form, but I'm certain that I still retained all my power from the past!
Either my power is too powerful for the crystal orb to detect or my power is different compared to human for the orb to recognise.
How can they do this to me! Humans are despicable!
Not only do they hunt down powerful dragons such as I, myself, but they also treat their own kinds like garbage!
Fine! So, what if I'm abandoned, that won't stop me from becoming an adventurer and enjoy all of the delicacies in the world!

Some unknown number of minutes had already passed, by now my face looked as if it was drained out of blood.

At the same time, a woman's panicking voice suddenly rang out, "They are catching up!"
"You go, I'll delay them!" A voice of a man shouted.

"Hey, honey did you just hear that?" The woman asked.
"Yes, it sounded like a baby's cry… It seems to have come from that direction."

"I-Is that a baby? Human baby…?"
Humans save me!... Damn how shameful for an powerful ancient dragon to swoop this low!
Well anyway, if you save me today then I promise you unimaginable fortune.
Do you want to become the ruler of this empire? No problem! I don't mind taking the crown away from that stupid emperor…
Just please save me! I don't want to just die like this!!!
Of course, none of the two-human understood what I just said. All they heard was a desperate plead from a baby in the form of crying.
"How horrible! Why would someone ever leave a baby in such a dangerous place!" The woman squatted down onto the floor and gently lifted me up from the ground.
The woman looked at me with sad eyes, but then she suddenly sighed and casted ice magic to form a sharp shard made out of ice.
Huh? I instantly felt something was wrong, although I didn't detect any killing intent from the woman, but the woman looked straight at me while holding the ice shard!
"I'm sorry!" The woman s***h down the ice shard towards my neck.
What the hell! Why are you trying to kill me? Do we have some kind of grudge or something?!?!
I think I'm beginning to regret being reincarnated as a human.
Humans are scary!!!
Just as the ice shard was about to s***h down onto my neck, the man with the woman suddenly grab hold of her wrist. "Charlotte what are you doing?!"
"What do you think I'm doing?! It's best to die painlessly on my hand than those goblins!" Tears began to flow down the woman's eyes, her hand kept shaking intensely before she finally dropped the ice shard onto the ground, shattering it apart.
What goblin?! Look around will you?! Do you see any goblin daring to come near this lord?!
After that, the two remained in silent for couple of seconds, their gazes were all at me.
"…"
"Hey, don't you think it's unusually quiet." The man finally spoke out.
Then they both turned around, staring at the empty forest.
"Strange, with the speed of those goblins, they should have already caught up long ago."
