Chapter 15: Magic

The next day, Renton-Sensei came to tutor me like always. Our lesson are once every two days, so she is already a familiar face around the mansion.
Today, was a special day, Renton-Sensei promised that she will show me combat magic, and so today our lesson will be outside in the massive courtyard.
The courtyard is just an empty peace of green land, not much work is required to be taken care off and so servants rarely come here. That's why I had secretly practiced magic here in the past ever since I received the GUI system from Doom.
I have also bought Nina with me, otherwise she would be most likely stuck in the room playing with Raine. No I am not jealous, definitely not!
Renton-Sensei who just arrived spoke, "Alright, I will be showing you some Primitive and Intermediate Grade attack magics. Even thou you won't be able to use magic, it is still important to understand, in case you ever cross battle with a magician."
I nodded my head in response, everyone probably already knew that I do not have any mana, that why I will continue to hide it even after knowing that I could control it properly. If I were to suddenly use magic, then it would definitely raise suspicion.
"As you know there are a total of eight elemental power that can be wielded by a magician, the most common ones are Earth, Water, Wind, and Fire. As for the other remaining five, only a few are capable of wielding them. Those five elements are not something that one could easily learn by simply reading a book if one does not have a talent for it."
Mhm, with my talent, I should be able to easily learn and wield all eight elements. So far I have only tested five, Earth, Water, Wind, Fire, and Illusion.
"Now then, I will start by showing you Earth magic." With that, Renton-Sensei stretch out her hand towards the distance then said her chant, "Stone Pillars!"
The ground slightly vibrated then three stone pillars suddenly erected out of the ground. The three pillars were identical to each other's and was about four metres tall.
We were about eight metres away from it.
"Next is Water magic." Renton held her palm upward and conjured a palm-size water ball.
"The most basic water magic is generating water out of nothing, then those who are proficient in it will be able to launch it toward a target."
Whoosh!
Splash!
The palm-size water ball shot out from Renton-Sensei's hand and crashed into one of the three pillars. After that, a small spider web c***k was left on the surface of the pillar.
"Whoa!" My eyes sparkled as I acted surprised.
"The biggest flaw of a magician is the chant, but with enough practice one could do it without any chant, however the higher grade and level of the magic, the harder it would take to fix this flaw."
"Higher grade and level magic also require the user to draw a magic circle in mid-air. It is rumoured that the Royal Court Magician are capable of casting High-Level Advanced Grade magics without needing to chant or draw any magic circles."
Those old geezers again!
Earth, Water, Wind, Fire, Illusion, Lightning, Space, Time
Renton-Sensei then later on explained about Illusion magics and Lightning magics, although Renton-Sensei is unable to cast those two magics, she still had a good bit of understanding about it.
However, when we got to the part about Space Magics and Time Magics, she said, "Never mind, you don't need to know about those two."
I became confused and so I asked, "Why?"
"Because if you do ever meet such opponent, then there is only one ending, death." Renton-Sensei bluntly declared.
Gulp.
Nina who was intently listening by my side, couldn't help but gulped at Renton-Sensei's statement.
After a few seconds of silent, Renton-Sensei finally spoke again, "But of course, for you to encounter such opponent in your lifetime is extremely rare. The people who wield such elements are called, 'Natural Rulers'."
"The emperor of this empire wields the power of Space. It's descendants would also likely to inherit it."
Why are the one that I don't want to remember are kept being mentioned!?!?
Don't tell me even the empress is going to be mentioned!!!
"The empress herself wields the power of time. For an empire to have possess all two of this power can only be called a miracle."
