I spent the next day avoiding Cassandra. Her behavior was getting out of hand, and insulting my mother was the last straw. I busied myself with training, and going through paperwork from the mill that hadn’t been signed off on yet. It had been rumored that Zeke had challenged Alpha Beau for rights to Addy and the alpha had accepted. They were set to fight this evening, but Zeke hadn’t said a word to me about it. I was under the impression that it was just that. A rumor, so I continued on with my day as normal.
