The day after my confrontation with Cassandra, all hell broke loose. I was in the shower when my phone started to blow up. I jumped out to find thirteen messages from Zeke. Apparently, Alpha Beau came earlier than was expected and had stirred up some strife between Zeke and his father. Zeke wanted me to come immediately to the pack house. I rushed through my shower and raced downstairs. I still hadn’t been home and had been staying at my parents'.
“Where you rushin’ off to?” My mother said as she added the finishing touches to a dish she was making.
