Her whole body is tight, I actually heard her swallow. She looks up at me with those big green eyes with fear. Stepping up to her, I placed a lock of her hair behind her ear and traced her face with my fingers. I'll admit I've been sulking, the thought of her holding so much power over me that I nearly got myself and my men killed stung.
Add that to the fact that she turned our link off, I was a mess, and I wasn't sure how I'd react to her.
