My sides hurt from laughing, and my cheeks were aching from all the smiles that I couldn’t hold back. I was so stuffed from eating that the dress I’d borrowed from Val was feeling a lot tighter than it had been at the beginning of the night, but I didn’t care. I was having quite possibly the best night of my life. So, when a strange man approached our table to ask me to dance, I was too high on all those good feelings to say no.
