The first couple of hours into their journey were tense. Leaving from the back gate meant taking back roads. When they emerged out of the forest and hit the main road, it turned out they were a good fifteen miles from the pride’s front gate. No one would think to look for them here.
They kept in contact with Tony via the communication building for an additional hour before they were all satisfied that they weren’t being followed.
Jackson and Sara explained to Terrence where they were going and that the lions there were relatives of Tony’s. He started asking more in-depth questions about the new pride but neither had the answers. They were all going to be learning about them together it seemed. But Sara and Jackson both trusted Tony implicitly. It was enough.
