Alison I looked at the ceiling a little upset. It was the first time ever that Miles rejected me. He never did. Usually, when I called him, he would immediately give me, no matter where I was, he was always there, he was the only one I knew for sure. No matter what I did, how I acted, or who I was, Miles was always with me. Except for this time. He refused, he didn’t want to come with me, he decided to say no to me. He never said no to me, the certainty that he would always say yes to me kept me going, kept me quiet. But the knowledge that he could say no to me caused something inside of me that I wasn’t used to. The anguish almost made me not breathe. I needed to get out.
