It was mid-morning when we returned home. Dad opened the door, and I entered slowly, trying to be careful not to move too much to avoid any further pain.
After I’d been under observation for a couple of hours, I’d been discharged, and I was told to go home immediately without stopping anywhere. I asked my dads not to say anything to anyone, not until I was ready to talk about it. Although there wasn’t much to talk about.
