"Robert worked as a stockbroker, just like Oliver, Emerald's husband," Grandpa explains. "Robert met Dara on a business trip and made the life-changing decision to stay in the town with her." Grandpa pauses, his voice quivering slightly. "Robert invested in some portfolios under the girls' names, though I'm unsure of the specifics. At the time, it didn't seem significant. But after surviving an assassination attempt in my own home, I couldn't help but feel that there was more to it."
