Siena and Ricci kept their professional relationship. But now, Donato served as intermediary. Ricci would assign Siena her tasks using Donato who would inform Siena what was required of her. Conversely, Siena submitted through Donato. It seemed like none of the both of Ricci or Siena wanted to talk to each other. It seemed their marriage-whatever they had- would never recover.
For Siena, the incident was all the motivation she needed. Anger was a strong motivation, but the downside to it was that it was self-serving.
