(JANE’S POV)
When he left, I sighed heavily and sank to the floor.
“I’m getting married to Nathan.” I announced to Emilia before she even had the chance to ask me. She looked at me with a lot of shock in her eyes.
“Please tell me that this is a joke. Please tell me that this is not serious.” She said to me shaking her head as she sank down to the ground so that she could look at me eye level.
“I wish .” I said to her tiredly with a sigh. “It’s not a joke. I had to go and say yes to him after Carl rejected the proposal. I wish I had waited but I was nervous and time was against me.”
