In as much as Lorenzo would have loved to remain arrogant and rude, he was faced with the reality that he would not make it out of the forest without Abigail’s help. The bullet wound in his shoulder throbbed mercilessly. He began to actually wish he had taken a good dose of painkillers before they had left the house, but there was nothing he could do about it anymore. He clenched his teeth and tried his best not to show any emotion or discomfort on his face. He however had a feeling he was not fooling her, not even a little bit. As though to prove his point, she stopped walking and placed a hand on his good arm to halt him as well. “Sit down. You need to rest and let me check your wound.” Lorenzo frowned. “You are not a doctor. We keep moving,” he responded through his teeth. “St
