DIAMOND FALLS SERIES BOOK TWO: UNTAMED EPILOGUE(FROM MY SON’S NEW DADDY IS THE ALPHA BEAST) THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW There are moments in life you never think things are going to change your life for good. You never see them coming. They hit you out of nowhere, tumulting your life upside down. It could start as one small lie, building into a mound that crushes you and everything dear to you underneath its monster build. As for Palmer, one of the most competitive criminal lawyers to ever exist in the Martin brothers Law firm, keeping secrets and digging them, was somewhat of a child’s play to her. She never minded any of it of course. Until now; Until it came down to the people she cared about. It all started with one damn lie from her grandmother and now she found herself inside her, staring at the ruins of the building that supposedly housed the coven of the witches who died because of her grandmother’s sister; she wondered just how much of it all was the truth. It had all started as a tingle; perhaps call it her a lawyer’s instinct. But retelling the story to Ava two weeks ago, had told her something felt off about the story. Telling herself it was just out of mere curiosity and also having handled all her cases for the week. When the search for the story showed up a different version of the story her grandmother had told her years ago; she’d begun to dig further; motivating herself that perhaps the internet was lying. But the more she dug, the more she could find holes in grandmother’s story. And the one lie that nailed the coffin to the head, was finding out this morning that her grandmother had been an only child. She lingered by the ruins for a few more minutes before turning her car around. She’d purchased it last week; thanks to the hefty sum from the last big case, she won. She was admittedly getting extremely good at her job much to envy of quite a few colleagues. Just early this week, she almost got into a physical fight with some of the colleagues who were spreading rumors that Palmer was sleeping with the boss. Needless to say, if Rick, one of the newest partners of the firm, hadn't called her to his office, she would have landed that punch. If she ever made partner, she would definitely put Pixie on the first to fire list. All the girl cared about was her looks while Palmer slaved her days away with books and studying past cases by the firm and how they won. Her phone rung, Rick’s name splashed on the screen and a wave of happiness was visible on her face. Nothing pumped her blood more than the idea of work. “Rick,” she spoke on picking the phone. “And my favorite lawyer. Okay, you are about to s**t your pants with this one. Guess who we landed?” She already loved the tone. “Surprise me,” “Oh, you are you are going to be surprised. Drum roll please,” he waited for a moment before proceeding to break the news that would change Palmer’s life for good, “CEO of Wyatt Tech,” “Wyatt Tech? The billionaire Grayson Wyatt?” She could hardly breathe. The twenty-nine-year-old Billionaire has been on almost every cover page of business magazine. “Yes. And well, he insists on having you represent his brother. So what do you say?” “Hell, yeah,” If she won this, it could put her in the map with the big players. A smile spread on her face. Except she had no idea just how much of her life would change because of this. Funny how one secret could change your life, right?
