44. Meta

We get to the amusement sector and run into the first ride. We climb on a boat, and it takes us through a whole show. It seems like everything glows and there's loud music and drums. I think it told a story, but I was too amazed by the glowing flowers and plants. Even the people that were in it were glowing somehow. And some of them had paint on them that glowed.

We run into the next ride. It's the same thing with a boat. But this one is cold. There is snow everywhere. It has tall hairy creatures in it. We ride between 2 big water tanks. They have huge fish in them. Bigger than anything I've ever seen before. Then we come out and run into the next one.

This one's a train. We sit beside each other and some lady comes over. She straps us in. "Enjoy the ride."

"I'm glad we're not fat. They weren't joking."

"Yea, there's not much roo....."

We take off kind of fast. We grab the bar in front of us. It turns us and goes so fast. It's so fun. Then we go up a big hill. We get to the top and are about to go over, but the track is broke. I grab onto him. Then our little train goes backwards down the big hill. I scream so loudly. We ride it backwards and end up at the start spot. The lady comes over and gets us out. "I hope you enjoyed your ride."

I can barely even stand up. I'm shaking so badly. Tye grabs me and laughs. We go on another one. This one doesn't take us backwards, but it has some big hills and some sharp curves.

The next ride, we get strapped in from like every angle. Bars come down over our shoulders and across our waists. Then there's a seat belt. We are not going anywhere. Then the bottom falls out. Our feet are dangling. I know he's beside me, but I can barely see him with the big bars. I reach for him and he holds my hand. We take off slowly and get pulled up a big hill. Then we get to the top and see over the edge. It's so pretty. Then we drop. I scream so loudly and grab the bar. He grabs my wrist so tight. We go upside down a lot and down a bunch more hills. Then we get back to the start spot. We help each other leave.

We get out and Tre and Marcus are standing there. "You have to ride this." Tye grabs Tre and drags him in the entrance. I jump on Marcus's back. He carries me in. The 4 of us get strapped in 1 row, and we do it over again.

We get out and Tre nods. "That was kind of fun."

Marcus nods. "I'm glad you like them. I'm going to go lay down somewhere."

"Yea, my stomach isn't feeling so great now. I think maybe I shouldn't ride that again." I rub my stomach. It's turning.

"Let's go ride that indoor one. You can do another boat ride."

The next says train ride. "This should be nice."

We climb in a row and get a little more comfortable. Suddenly, the ground starts shaking. Then it cracks and a bunch of steam comes out. The train breaks apart. I am scared to death. I jump on Tre's lap and hold on. A pipe breaks above us. I hug Tre and close my eyes. "It's the ride baby." Everything is going back to normal on its own.

We get back outside and Tre points at the sign. "It's a simulation. It's fake."

Marcus nods. "Now I really need to lay down."

Tre shakes his head. "It tells you what kind of ride it is, at the entrance. Simulation of earthquake. That 1 was a roller coaster. That is simulating an alien attack. Here, let's try this one. Easy ride threw a zoo."

We get on a thing with 4 wheels. It drives us around for 20 minutes seeing animals. Some of them are huge. There's one that has to be as tall as our castle. Then it takes us through a tunnel that is surrounded by water. It has lots of sharks and big fish in it. I point everything out to the boys.

We get out of there and Tye spots another huge roller coaster. I grab my stomach and shake my head.

Tre smiles. "I'll ride with you for a while. They can do the boring stuff."

Marcus shakes his head. "Just because it's not throwing us all over, doesn't mean it's boring."

Tye smirks. "No, it's boring."

Marcus and I hold hands and walk. "This says screen simulation. Want to check it out? Maybe it's a movie."

We sit in this little thing with 4 wheels. "No seatbelts. That's a good sign."

He puts his arm around me.

Then our little vehicle picks right up. It goes about 2 feet off the ground. Then it's a movie, but we're right in the middle of the movie. It turns into the craziest roller coaster. Not going upside down or anything, just big hills. We can feel wind on us and when the ride turns on the screen, our little vehicle will move too.

It stops after a few minutes and the vehicle drops. "We never even moved. It felt like we did."

"That was neat. Maybe we can find one that goes under the ocean."

"That would be so amazing."

We walk out holding hands and both Dipak's are standing there. "I figured you were with Tye."

I shake my head. "Him and Tre are finding the biggest roller coasters they can ride."

"This one was feeling kind of sick. And I don't need to do any more of those."

"You and my Marcus are alike. I bet you'll like the horror zone. The actors don't touch you. No risk of death or anything. They will chase you around with props and jump out at you. Lot of s**t is set up to be bloody and nasty. Everything is made to scare people."

I smile. "I'll go with you."

They laugh but don't say anything.

Tye and Tre come out of nowhere. "YOU GOT TO TRY THIS." They grab both Dipak's and drag them off.

Marcus and I get something to drink and sit down. I snuggle with him. "This is better. Not moving for a minute."

"Yea, this is nice. We can sit in the shade and this is a good drink too. What was it called?"

"Lemonade? I think."

He kisses my head. "You act like you're about done with rides."

"There's so many, and I've ridden so many. My stomach needs a break. Maybe I can do more later."

Dipak sits beside me. "I'm not doing that anymore."

"We are opposite then. I love these damn things."

Our bracelets make a beeping noise. "We need to head to lunch."

"I don't think I should eat."

Marcus rubs my back. "It'll be good for you to sit and relax. Even if you don't eat a lot. You haven't drank much either. Get something to munch on and some water. Relax for a half hour."

We follow Future Dipak to a shuttle and let him get us to the food place.

I sit by Marcus. He rubs my leg and I lay my head on his shoulder.

Future Tre glances at me. "She is going to drop. Take her over to the entertainment sector. Go to a movie. They dim the lights, and you can turn the volume down. It'll take 2 hours. You can watch the movie. Or if you want to do something else, I can take her. I like watching movies in the middle of the afternoon. It's too hot to be out in the sun here."

"I can take her. I need a break from the rides. A nice cool room to relax in sounds amazing." He kisses my head.

I stretch. "I want to watch a movie. Can I have a dress? These are hurting my legs."

Marcus looks at Dipak. "I guess I'm taking the 3 of them for a movie."

Tre and Tye got their heads in their arms on the table sleeping.

Dipak nods. "Yes, I do believe it's nap time for the kids. And if they are sleeping, I am going to sleep too."

Marcus stretches. "Hell yea."

The older group laughs.

Thora smiles. "Let's do chicken tacos for everyone. They're fast and easy. And everyone gets their own stuff. They can build them how they want. Then they can go take a nap."

"Go ahead and order it, or meltdowns are coming." Future Dipak shows me a box. "Is this dress ok?"

"Yea."

"Touch the orb."

I do and suddenly I'm in the dress. It's so much nicer. It's not near as tight and it's breathable light fabric. Not like whatever those shorts were. "Thank you."

"You're welcome."

I lift the dress and show Marcus my inner thigh. "See they are red."

"That looks like it hurts. But you can't lift your dress like that with people around." He shoves it back down quickly.

I start crying.

"No tears. I've got yummy tacos for everyone." I wipe my eyes. "Are you hungry? You look hungry sweetie."

I nod.

She puts food in front of me. "You pick what you like and eat it all. You have to get your energy up, so you can go do more fun stuff. Does that sound good?"

"Thank you."

"You are very welcome. Quite a few young ones in this group. MARY," Another lady comes over. "Help me set these up please. They are going to fall off the chairs."

She touches their backs at the same time. "Are you boys hungry? You need to eat, so you can have more fun."

They sit straight up with their eyes open.

I try to lay on Marcus.

"No. Do what she says. Taste it and eat what you like."

"Movie theater 8. That's the name of the place. It has big oversize chairs with foot rests. They can kick back and relax while they watch the movie. It's kind of chilly though. You might want to grab a couple of throw blankets before you go in." The waitress smiles at me. "They play some good movies too. I'm sure you'll enjoy getting out of the heat."

Everyone talks some. I pick at the food. After that, I get guided into a movie theater. My boys come with me.

I sit between Tye and Marcus. Tye does something and his feet pop out in front of him. I give him sad eyes. "Hit this button babydoll. Then you can lay back."

Dipak hands each of us a blanket. I cover up and relax.
