9. Flower

I dress as a commoner with a veil and gloves on. Dipak gives me 200g for games.
"Kane is doing security for Tye. Marcus is doing security for Nadine."
"AND THERE WILL BE NO TOUCHING BOOBS." Mary glares at Kane.
"I wasn't planning on it. I think she's talking to you Tye."
I glare at him.
"I won't touch any boobs."
"YOU BETTER NOT TYE."
"I promise babydoll. I've only ever seen boobs in the parade. I'm not close enough to touch them."
"I'm watching you."
Dipak rubs his eyes. "I'm staying here today. You are free to go over to the festival. The celebrations for Tye will go for 5 days, and they end with a ball on the 6th day. We are going to do that. Tre are you going over?"
"Yes."
"Miculai, you will be in command here if I get summoned over."
"Why would you get summoned over?"
"You are a prince with a teenage girlfriend who hates other girls around you, and she is already pissed. Tre will be there. He can usually calm her down, but with current events... I don't know. Good luck Marcus. Switch with Kane if you have to. Kane knows her well and can deal with her without any issues." He crosses his arms. "You will have 3 mates and Kane there. Do your best not to hurt anyone please."
Dracul stands up. "And do not declare war."
Daddy shakes his head. "And do not kill any princess's."
"WELL THEY SHOULDN'T TOUCH TYE."
Dipak rubs his eyes. "Do not let any girls touch you for any reason, Tye."
Me, Marcus, Kane, and Tye go to Yanin castle.
"Oh good you're here early. I want you to go over the parade route."
I give Tye a hug. "Have fun. I'll watch the parade."
"I'll find you babydoll. I'll give you that flower." He winks at me.
I giggle and head over.
I find a group of teenage girls right away. I run over to them. They have veils on. I love this. I fit in.
"Are you from here? I've never seen you."
"No, I'm from another village. I came for the festival. My dad knows someone or something. I don't know. But I like games and I heard the prince is cute. I yelled 'take me'. And he did." They start laughing. "My name is Nadia."
"It's nice to meet you. I'm Mya and you are not wrong about the prince. He is very sexy, but I heard he already found his mate. They did some kind of testing or something on a princess is what I heard. Not sure though."
"Yea, no one knows for sure. It's rumors. Us ordinary girls may still have a chance. I'm Sally."
"We'll have to see if he has a mark, and I'm Suzie. It's nice to meet you."
"You too." Damn, she is pretty.
"You can stay with us if you want."
"I would love to. I don't know anyone here."
Sally grabs my arm. "Let's find our spots. I'm hoping for a flower. I've never got one from him before."
"I've heard girls show their boobs to him. Do we do that?"
Suzie giggles. "We can. But I wouldn't want to do it right here. Way too many people. Let's do it at the next parade."
I see Marcus laughing out of the corner of my eye.
"Here it comes."
We cheer as a bunch of horses and guards go by. Then a couple of decorated wagons. Then finally Tye. He's standing in an open carriage getting pulled by horses. No walls are on it. Kane and Tre are beside it. I didn't know Tre was doing security for him.
Tye sees me, then he grabs some flowers and stops his carriage.
"OH MY GOD. He's going to come over here."
"I HOPE I GET A FLOWER FROM HIM."
"IS HE COMING TO US?"
The girls are making squealy noises. I can't make out anything and 2 of them are hugging each other.
He gives us each a flower.
"Thank you sir."
"My pleasure."
Tye gets back on the carriage and the girls keep making squeals.
We play games. Then a couple more girls join us. They seem to be friends. Marcus stays where he can see me for the most part. Occasionally, I lose him, but he shows back up.
"Want to take a walk?"
"Sure."
I go in the direction Suzie does. "How do you like it here?"
"It's fun and you and your friends seem nice."
"You're so quiet."
"Oh sorry. I don't know who or what you guys are talking about most of the time. I'm happy to be included. It's better than roaming around alone."
"Yea, I imagine. So, is that guy your security?" She points at Marcus. He's standing 3 feet away from me.
"Yea he is. My dad said he couldn't watch me. He gave that job to Marcus. My dad works in security for a lot of events like this. Usually I don't get to go, but he said this was a mostly safe village."
"Your dad is running the extra security here. I get it."
"I'm going to get something to drink. You 2 want anything?"
We yell, "WINE."
"No." He walks away.
"We tried."
"So do you live here?"
"Yep, lived here all my life. It's quite nice. We have 3 parks, a garden, and a theater. There's also a village not far from here that has an arena. I went over for the last horse races. That village is huge, and the castle is amazing. During the races, a bunch of dragons put on a show. Then a couple of them got in a fight. The rumors were it was over the princess. I don't know. I never even seen her. Another rumor I heard is that our prince Tye is one of the front people to be her mate. I guess she's powerful and pretty. She'll probably make an appearance here to see one of the parades this week. If Prince Tye is her potential mate anyway."
"Yea, it would be kind of rude if she didn't."
"Exactly. So, everyone is kind of excited about seeing her too."
Marcus roams back. "Who?"
"There's a village close to here with an arena and a princess. They have horse races."
"The rumor is that Prince Tye is 1 of the men that could be her mate. So everyone is thinking that she'll make an appearance here for one of the parades this week. To show him support. If they do end up being mates."
Marcus nods. "I'm sure she will."
"Wait, you do security. Do you know when she'll be here? For which parade? We want to see her. It would be amazing if we knew which one she'd be here for."
"I can't give out that information. It would put her in danger."
She jumps up and down. "SHE'S GOING TO MAKE AN APPEARANCE... YOU SAID IT. Let's go tell everyone." She grabs my arm and pulls me back to the girls.
"Why are you so excited?"
"Guess what security told me..."
"What?"
"GUESS."
"I DON'T KNOW."
"THE PRINCESS WILL MAKE AN APPEARANCE TO ONE OF THE PARADES."
They jump up and down squealing again. "I KNOW SHE'LL GET A FLOWER."
"He'll probably give them all to her that day."
"Dump them on her head."
"Can you come that day?"
Marcus shakes his head. "We'll be on the princess."
"Awww."
"At least I got to see the prince."
"I bet he's never seen her boobs. Let's go show him ours."
