20. Majority Are Good

Tye and I wake up halfway through the morning and throw some clothes on.

The boys, Kane, and Mary are in the morning room.

Dipak shakes his head. "I delayed the morning meeting. I didn't cancel it."

"I was a princess last night. I have to do it again tonight and tomorrow. This is what you get in my off time. I don't even know how Tye was a prince all week."

Tye shakes his head. "We are fine."

Kane glances at Mary. "2 members of the throne now appear homeless."

"The majority are still good." She keeps knitting.

"Is that the goal now? As long as 3 of look ok, we're good?"

"3 is good. 2 is fine as long as it's the right 2."

"Which 2 are the right 2?"

"Depends on what is happening. Anyway. I need you to shower at 2. I need you with wet hair at 230 in your apartment. At 3, the servants and anyone not flying are leaving in the carriages. At 430, those flying will leave. You will get in a carriage at a human village about 15 minutes away from the Yanin castle. They are not parading you in. But the villagers are going to be allowed around the front of the castle to see everyone go in. Tye will be with you. You are sitting with him. You will not be at our tables. He will also be in the carriage with you. Marcus is with Elkie, Dipak is with Dorseti, Tre is with Tanny. There are going to be 7 or 8 castles there. So it will be fairly big. Boys, you are going to be in black and red. Except Tye. I have your outfit on the way to your apartment. I will get you and Nadine ready at the same time. Once they are done. We will move into this room. I will make sure you are good again before we fly to the carriages." She stands up. "Do not get in the carriages unless I tell you to." She walks out.

Marcus rubs his eyes. "She really does have the power here."

Dipak nods. "There is nothing that woman won't take care of. Do not get in her way. You will regret it."

Tye smiles. "Try not to give her an eye twitch." We crack up laughing.

"Remember the jail? We really messed with her on that one."

"What happened?"

"It was the first ball I took her to. We got drugged and ended up in a cell alone together. Dipak told us to wait 10 minutes before we blew the door open. We made it look like we had s*x while everyone was locked in a different cell. I took the safety's out of her dress. We messed up our hair, stuff like that. It was convincing. But she started yelling at my dad's advisors, saying none of them seen anything. It was hilarious."

"You 2 didn't do anything?" Kane sits back. "I thought they did, even the buttons on her dress were messed up. And his shirt was gone."

He kisses my head. "I did get some kisses in there. But nothing more than that."

"So what about on Unicorn island? She had your shirt on."

"That was Tre's fault. He ripped my clothes off me."

"First time I seen her boobs." Tye smirks. "Thank you."

Tre shakes his head. "Sea snake sack exploded on her. It was her top. I had to rip it off to get the snakes off her. Tye happened to be standing there. He gave her his shirt, so she wasn't topless."

"I walked in on them in bed on that pirate ship."

"I THOUGHT THAT WAS A KISS WOMAN." Dipak's pissed.

Tre chuckles. "No wonder you felt so guilty."

"We weren't in bed. We were only kissing."

"In bed."

"Fine, in bed."

Tye smiles. "That was fun. And then you were there yelling."

"Her mates were on that boat. They would have ripped you apart if they seen that."

He shrugs his shoulders. "We got carried away."

"And then Mary caught us in the advisor hallway. 'DO YOU KNOW WHO COMES HERE? ADVISORS.' Her eyes were so red. That's when we found out she had a dragon."

"She had an eye twitch for that too."

Dipak looks at Tre. "Apparently our princess was sneaking around fine without your help."

"Yea, sounds like they had a lot of fun."

Marcus looks at Tre. "You helped them sneak around?"

"No, but I was fairly certain they were mates and the castle got attacked. I sent them to Egypt together, so she was safe."

Dipak rolls his eyes. "She was safe? You could have went and sent him back."

"Yes, if I could do it over again, I wouldn't leave them alone in Egypt for so long. But thankfully, they are mates. Now it's only part of their story."

"I like that part."

"Me too babydoll." He kisses my head.

Dipak sits back. "I'm sorry. I had no right to block the bond testing. I knew you 2 were close. It was the same thing when I tried to decide what to do about our boy. I thought I knew what was best for you. I'm older and you are so young. But I have no right to make a decision for you if it comes to your mates or your babies. It's your life, you need to make your own decisions. I am sorry to both of you for that."

Tye smiles. "I survived. That's good enough. Thanks for not killing me."

"Fine. And who thought they knew best about Marcus and me?"

They say "Omar." at the same time.

"We wanted to tell him. Then let him tell you."

"I needed time. I think. Hell, I don't know. I had no idea I could get another mate. It was a big shock. Then we figured it out. I still didn't believe it. I don't know. Some days it's still shocking. I can't believe I have a mate and she's so perfect. But here I am and my life is so different. I hope this is real a lot of the time."

Dipak nods. "I was like that for a long time. I spent months hoping it's real. Waiting for someone to say 'oh never mind' the test was wrong. She's not yours. None of this is yours. That feeling fades over time. And then you slowly realize your dreams are coming true. You're getting it all."

"How did you feel when you seen Tre was her mate too?"

"Stupid." Dipak shrugs his shoulders. "Like he said. None of us knew it was possible. I know it scared me. I thought the test had to be wrong for one of us. I didn't want to lose her. And if only one of us could be her mate, it would have to be Tre. They were together for so long and meant so much to each other. I showed up at the last minute and fell in love. I thought about running away with her. Somewhere no one would ever find us. I didn't want to lose her. Hell I waited over 1000 years for her."

"Did you give up hope of ever finding a mate?"

"At times. At first, I would get excited when my parents sent me out with someone who might be my mate. Or when one of my friends would say something about me and a girl. But there was never a bond. Eventually, I didn't let myself get my hopes up anymore. Occasionally, I would think maybe someday I'll find her. Then I would ignore that feeling."

Kane nods and glances at Marcus. "And you had no hope at all, did you?"

"I thought I would be alone forever. I didn't know there was even a chance. I couldn't talk to my parents. The only people I knew were the servants. I never told them anything about my personal life. I made myself strong for the kids. That's all I wanted to do with my life. Help kids like me. I learned how to ignore feelings. And then one day a teenager walked into my life and everything got confusing. She brought her own jackass doctor who would not leave me the hell alone."

The door flies open and Thora sits down with us.

"We've been in your office for an hour. We try to summon you and Mary blocks it. She said the prince and princess are on strike. And Dipak and Marcus have forgotten how to use the heads on their shoulders."

"So how was the beach?"

"It was amazing. It was so relaxing and Ana loved it. I spent all that time with Frode. So now it's time to get drunk and go man killing. And WE ARE KISSING THEM. I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU SAY."

Marcus laughs. "Actually when I found them that night. They were doing more than..."

I slam my hand on his mouth. "HE SAID NOTHING."

"More than what?"

"SHE SAID HE SAID NOTHING. CAN YOU NOT HEAR DIPAK?"

"Oh I can hear fine. Let's let him finish that."

"It was in the past. Let's not dwell on the past."

Thora nods. "We were younger then."

"They like teasing their food before they kill it."

I open my mouth to argue but, "He's not wrong."

"No, he's not wrong." Thora sits back down. "That's exactly what we're doing. It's better when they are excited."

"Everyone kept their clothes on. Little making out and then they die. And those girls were so drunk. They could barely even walk, but they managed to turn the men on and kill them." He smacks my butt. "I don't think we have anything to worry about. Even when drunk and alone, you girls knew to keep your clothes on."

"We've never taken any of our clothes off."

"Well, my shoes. I always lose my shoes."

"And that one time we lost the swords."

"Earrings."

"Any jewelry really."

"You still need supervision because weird s**t can happen. But you're both faithful to your mates."

I smile and give him a hug. "Thank you."

"Will you go tell Frode that? He thinks I go out and have s*x with random men or something. I've never had s*x with anyone else. I don't even want to."

"I'll tell him what I seen, so he stops thinking the worst."

"That would be nice. Anything else?"

"No kissing anyone else when you're sober."

"That's a new one."

"If you kiss someone when you're sober, you like them. However, you could kiss someone every 10 seconds when your drunk. You'll never remember any of them."

Dipak and Tre start laughing.

Tye shakes his head. "I don't want you kissing anyone ever."

"Can I kiss girls behind your back?"

"Well, I prefer you do that in front of me."

We laugh.

"You're right. It would break my heart if I found you kissing another girl. You're mine. But I would like to kill men. It's fun to tease them first."

He stares at the table. He seems sad.

"I'll stop. It's not worth hurting you for a little fun for me."

Thora jumps up. "BUT THAT'S THE FUN PART."

I shake my head. "I won't break his heart. I can still kill them. I'll do it the way it was, you can kiss them."

"I guess that's true."

"You'll be kissing for both of us."

"I always had to do that anyway."

Mary comes in. "The morning meeting is over. It's time for lunch."
